Saraf continued: "Perhaps, according to the honorable presidents of the universities and considering the history of higher education, it is the first time that all universities were active in the first week of Mehr, and students were almost completely present in the classrooms."

Saying that the students missed the university and student life, Simai Saraf said: the students came to the classrooms calmly so that we can realize the scientific growth, scientific authority, and the strengthening of religion and knowledge, which was the desire of the beloved leader of the revolution.

He added: The condition for the continuation of this situation is that we all commit to ethics, compliance with academic principles and character, dialogue and rationality, and maintain a safe and peaceful atmosphere in the university.

In another part of his speech, the Minister of Science mentioned the need to strengthen the international relations of universities and said: "A university cannot be a local institution, but it must be international and have scientific exchanges." Financial support is necessary for the development of these exchanges and the internationalization of universities.

He stated that study opportunities and missions in new scientific and technological fields have become more important, adding: Unfortunately, these opportunities have decreased. Also, university laboratories need to be updated.

Simai Saraf also pointed to the issue of strengthening smart classes, which according to him, the president has been pursuing since last year, and asked the presidents of the universities to follow this path.

He noted: Strengthening smart classes is a step beyond virtual classes. We may face interruptions due to energy imbalance and, God forbid, war. But even without such conditions, smart classes help to improve the quality of education under normal conditions.

In the end, he expressed hope that universities will receive more support for the development of smart classes.
