Natural Resources and Police Sign Memorandum of Understanding in Poldokhtar to Combat Environmental Violations

A memorandum of cooperation between the Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management and the Police Command of Poldokhtar County was signed during Police Week. The agreement aims to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, prevent violations, and protect national areas.

A cooperation memorandum was signed between the Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management and the police command of Poldakhter city, at the same time as the week of the police force, with the aim of strengthening inter-agency interactions, preventing violations and protecting national arenas.

According to Ambassador Arjan from Lorestan, this memorandum was signed in the presence of Poldakhtar Police Commander Col. Rasul Karmi Chegni and Esmail-Saeidi, Director of the Natural Resources and Watershed Department of the city, and the parties emphasized on expanding executive cooperation and increasing field coordination for the protection of natural resources.

Strengthening field cooperation for the protection of national fields

Col. Rasool Karmichegani, police commander of Poldakhtar city, welcomed the signing of this memorandum and announced the readiness of the police to cooperate with the natural resources department within the framework of the assigned laws and duties.

He emphasized the necessity of coordination between the responsible bodies in the protection of natural resources and added: prevention of violations related to natural resources and legal treatment of offenders requires continuous interaction and effective cooperation of the custodian bodies, and the police command will cooperate with the natural resources department in this regard.

Dealing with the destruction and seizure of national lands and smuggling of forest products

Esmail-Saeidi, Director of the Natural Resources and Watershed Department of Poldakhtar city, also pointed out the importance of protecting forests, pastures and national lands and considered the cooperation of executive and law enforcement agencies to be one of the requirements to deal with violations in this area.

He clarified: Dealing with the seizure and destruction of national lands, illegal cutting of trees, smuggling of wood and charcoal, and illegal transportation and supply of forest and pasture products, requires continuous coordination and cooperation of the responsible agencies.

Saeedi reminded: interaction with the police command can play an effective role in preventing violations, identifying offenders and pursuing legal cases related to destruction and encroachment on national areas.

Communicating the contents of the memorandum to the police stations of the city

At the end of this meeting, it was decided that the contents of the memorandum should be communicated to the police stations of Poldakhtar district in order to provide a more coordinated implementation of joint programs.

Based on this, field cooperation with the aim of preventing violations, dealing legally with encroachers to the national arenas, and dealing with the smuggling of forest and pasture products will be pursued more seriously.
