Omid and Pezhman Back Again, This Time on Doha's Stage: Two Former Esteghlal Stars Watch Grand Asian Celebration (Photos)

Omid Ebrahimi and Pezhman Montazeri, two popular former Esteghlal stars, watched from up close as the Blues beat Al Gharafa.

According to "Varzeh Se", Esteghlal had two special guests on the stands of Thani Bin Jassim Stadium on the night of its valuable victory against Al Gharafa. Omid Ebrahimi and Pejman Montazeri came to the stadium and saw the victory of their former team in a spectacular night.

Both players spent an important part of their careers in Esteghlal and after the separation, they stayed in Qatar football for many years. Ebrahimi went to Qatar's Al-Ahly in the summer of eight years before the independence and, except for one season of loan presence in the Belgian Open, he played for Al-Ahli, Al-Wukrah, Al-Shamal and Lusail.

Montazeri also went to Umm Salal for the first time in the winter of 2012 and after that he wore Al-Ahly Qatar shirt. This experienced defender returned to Esteghlal in 2016, but two years later he took the path of Qatar again and continued his playing career in Al-Kharitiyat. After saying goodbye, he started his coaching activity in this country.

The names of Omid and Pejman were heard many times around Esteghlal in different summer windows. After the last separation of these two players, the Blue fans were waiting for their return at various times, but Ebrahimi never wore Esteghlal's shirt again and Montazeri did not return to the Blues after the separation.

The meeting with Al-Gharafa was finally the scene of the return of these two old independents, although this time not in blue shirts and on the field, but side by side on the platforms of Doha.
