Communications Minister: We Have Approved a Resolution to Lift Platform Filtering

In an interview, Communications Minister Hashemi said the Supreme Council of Cyberspace has approved a 32-point resolution to lift the filtering of platforms, and its implementation will be pursued.

Hashemi, the Minister of Communications, stated in an interview that a 32-point resolution has been approved in the Supreme Council of Cyberspace to remove the platform filter and its implementation will be followed up.

According to Ambassador Arjan Sattar Hashemi, the Minister of Communications said in an interview with Fars: "The Supreme Council of Cyberspace and the National Center of Cyberspace were formed out of a need. The need to form a close interaction between different devices, centered on the Supreme Council of Cyberspace.

He says: "In practice, most of the monitoring and follow-up issues of this collection have been directed to the Ministry of Communications in different periods. The interesting thing is that there are differences between the tasks of different devices. By the way, I invite and request my friends in the media field to monitor this issue and see how far the section related to the Ministry of Communications has been implemented and how far the section that is in charge of other institutions has progressed. This review will tell many things."

He also said in this interview: "Finally, the situation has become as if the Ministry of Communications is in charge of the entire cyber space, while the basis of the formation of the Supreme Council of Cyber Space and the strategic view of the leadership was not such that all the responsibilities are placed on the Ministry of Communications and other institutions only have a supervisory role. "In my opinion, the Ministry of Communications does not need this number of observers."

Hashemi says: "So I want to say that a new look should be formed in this space and a transformation should take place. When the members of the council and the national center are mainly from the technical fields, they unconsciously get a technical view and eventually everyone becomes the supervisor of the Ministry of Communications.

He also answered the question that the follow-up of the 32nd resolution and the duties of different departments should be done by the Supreme Council of Cyberspace and the National Center of Cyberspace, but we see that the meetings of the Council are not held, are you following it? He says: "Part of this issue is related to the non-convening of council meetings. The fact is that the Supreme Council of Cyber Space has about 27 or 28 members. This council includes the respected heads of forces to commanders and various officials, and in terms of the composition of its members, it is one of the most important councils in the country. According to the conditions and requirements of the country, it was not possible to hold meetings at times based on discretion and existing conditions. On the other hand, changing the view and changing people has also been on the agenda. Naturally, part of the tasks we have and the issues related to the 7th plan, including those that require final approval, should be discussed in the Supreme Council. Therefore, this issue is on the agenda and will be followed up seriously. We hope that, God willing, this will happen."
