American Attack on Trump: He Has Reached the End of the Line

Ahead of the US congressional midterm elections, rising fuel prices and the consequences of the war with Iran have become a serious challenge for Donald Trump.

The Business Standard reported the average gasoline price as of Sunday at $4.36 per gallon, according to the Automobile Association of America. At the same time last year, the price of gasoline was $3.09. The price of diesel has also increased significantly and reached 6.28 dollars per barrel at the beginning of this month. The price of Brent crude oil traded almost 2% lower and $103 per barrel by early Monday. This figure is 40% higher than the price level of this product at the beginning of the war with Iran, but it has decreased by about 2% compared to last month after crossing the $100 per barrel mark in early September.

But the bigger concern is the price of diesel, whose prices have remained high despite the recent drop in crude oil prices.

In the run-up to midterm congressional elections, rising diesel prices pose a political challenge as higher transportation costs raise the possibility of inflationary pressures on American households. Trump's action in suspending the embargo on fuel exports from Russia to bring more diesel into the markets and lower prices has surprised his allies and enemies. Of course, hours later, Ukraine attacked an oil tank in Russia.

On Sunday morning, Trump once again tried to calm oil markets, announcing that an "energy ceasefire" had been reached between Russia and Ukraine. Despite the fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that he supports this agreement, he then announced that the country's power plant in Kiev was the target of Russia's attack.

At the same time, an oil tanker hit a mine in the Strait of Hormuz and caught fire. This was the most important reason for the increase in oil and gas prices. Business Insider wrote: It's hard to imagine prices falling enough to comfort Americans by the time they get ready to go to the polls in November.

The mid-term elections of the US Congress are scheduled to be held on November 3rd (November 12). Despite Trump's efforts to lower prices, the wave of criticism of the US President's performance has increased even among his own party members. Former Republican Representative Margery Taylor Green criticized Trump again on Sunday and called it "America last" in comparison to Trump's "America First" slogan.

Green said: "You know there is something wrong with Trump. Let's start with his campaign promises that have been broken." Addressing Trump on the X social network platform, he wrote: Instead of supporting women, you supported your child molesters and you still refuse to publish Epstein's (sex offender) files.

He added: You started a war with Iran for no reason, which most Americans do not support. You killed hundreds of children in a school in Iran and innocent people, and you are responsible for the death of 21 American soldiers and the wounding of 865 others.

Green continued his attacks on Trump by criticizing rising energy prices and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, writing: "So did you make a mistake?" In one sentence, "Yes." You never thought about restoring America to greatness or giving America priority. You are deep state, Epstein class, and America is your last priority.

Trump announced last November that he no longer supports Green and will support his opponent in the internal party elections.

Green resigned last January due to differences with the US President. He has criticized Trump's handling of Epstein-related cases and Trump's disregard for lowering prices. The former congressman from Georgia has also been critical of Trump's war against Iran.
