At noon on August 24 of this year, the bell rang in the villa of an elderly couple in the railway town. A little later, 2 unknown men with covered faces entered the house and tied the hands and feet of the frightened couple with the threat of Colt Kameri and started their violent robbery plan.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, the members of a 4-member gang who stole billions from an elderly couple's house at gunpoint were arrested in a police operation. At noon on August 24 of this year, the bell rang in the villa of an elderly couple in the railway town. A little later, 2 unknown men with covered faces entered the house and tied the hands and feet of the frightened couple with the threat of Colt Kameri and started their violent robbery plan.
After the robbers fled, the elderly couple barely managed to open their arms and legs and called the police. It didn't take long for the officers of the 1st Directorate of Tehran Intelligence Police to arrive at the scene of the incident. Initial investigation indicated that the armed robbers, after obtaining the code of the safe, had managed to steal 30 expensive Rolex watches belonging to the son of the family along with 150 grams of gold.
The detectives continued to review the CCTV cameras of the place, and it was found that the armed robbers got into an L90 car and fled after committing the robbery. A little later, it became clear that this car was stolen by gangsters 48 hours before the armed robbery. The story of the robbery was such that a woman named Sanaz boarded this car as a passenger and forced the driver to stop in the middle of the road claiming she was sick. Just when the driver got out of the car to buy mineral water, this woman got behind the wheel and ran away.
In the next step, the detectives identified Sanaz's hiding place and arrested him in a sting operation. By conducting preliminary investigation of Sanaz, who also had a history of car theft, other members of the gang, who were 2 men and 1 woman, were identified and arrested. Part of the stolen gold and billion watches were discovered in the hiding place of the main accused. Colonel Asghar Khodayi, head of Tehran Intelligence Police, told Ambassador Arjan about this: In this case, a shoplifter who bought expensive watches (including Rolex brand) was identified by the police and the property was returned to its original owner. According to him, additional investigations of the accused are ongoing.
The main accused in the case is 34 years old; Someone who committed murder during the conflict many years ago but managed to get consent. Read the interview with him. Tell me about your previous case and the murder you committed?
It was the year 1991. I got into a fight with a boy over the girl I wanted. I lost control and hit him with a knife. He died and I went to prison for murder.
How did you escape from retribution?
During my time in prison, I even went to the gallows once. I was in purgatory for 7 years until my family begged to get my parents' consent. When I became free, I wanted to build a new life, but I didn't understand how I drowned myself again.
Why did you attack the elderly couple's house?
My goal was not robbery, it was hatred; I just wanted revenge. One of our family friends, named Maryam, came to me and said that the son of this couple had disturbed her. I also decided to burn the son of that family with silver to take revenge on him.
Why didn't you go to him? What did it have to do with his parents?
I knew where he was during the day and where he went to work. I wanted to hit him hard. To terrorize him by threatening his family and by stealing his property, put a heavy financial loss on his hands so that he becomes polite. I told the matter to my cousin and he accompanied me.
Some time ago, during a trip to the west of the country, I bought a weapon with some cartridges from a middleman and kept it just in case.
Was the stolen car plan your idea?
My cousin and I needed a car that would leave no trace of us. I forgot; Sanaz had a car theft case before and knew his job well. I knew him and went to him. I told him to arrange a nameless car. He also baited the passenger driver and on the second day of the appointment, he got off on the pretext of being sick and stole the Al-90 and handed it over to us.
Let's go back to the day of the incident, what happened?
Before I left, I had taken some high-dose psychedelic pills and I was not at all mentally balanced. Together with my cousin, we went to the elderly couple's house. We rang the bell, as soon as the door opened halfway, I pulled the Colt and we entered. The old man and the old woman were speechless. We tied their hands and feet so they couldn't scream or call the police and then we emptied the safe.
Did you know that their son has a collection?
Maryam had given information. I knew he was interested in watches and was a collector.
We put 30 Rolex watches with some gold in our bag and ran away.
You said you had taken pills before the robbery, are you addicted?
I am addicted to opium and psychedelic pills. After being released from prison, I went to pills to forget the nightmares and became addicted, and these substances worked for me.
