A member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, referring to the statements of the Foreign Minister of Oman regarding the agreement between Iran and the United States on the Strait of Hormuz, stating that "Omani officials do not have independent authority", emphasized: Iran acts based on its decisions and the plan related to this strait is being finalized in the Parliament.

According to Ambassador Arjan Ismail Kothari, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Council, in response to the statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman that any agreement on the Strait of Hormuz depends on the agreement between Iran and the United States, he said: As neighbors, we tried to show the necessary respect, but when such decisions are made, we must act according to our own laws and decisions.

He added: We have acted on the same basis in the past months and our routine will not change from now on. We have announced that any ship that wants to pass through the Strait of Hormuz against Iran's decisions is considered a violator and will be dealt with.

Criticizing the positions of the Omani officials, Kothari said: Unfortunately, it seems that the Omani officials do not have independent authority in this field; Therefore, we have to make our own decisions and advance the work based on the interests and decisions of the country.

In response to a question about the latest status of the plan related to the Strait of Hormuz, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament said: This matter is being finalized in the commission and after that it will go to the public floor of the Parliament so that the legal process can be completed as quickly as possible.

He emphasized: If the other side insists on its positions, this issue can speed up the process of finalization of the law in the parliament.
