Vacant Housing Statistics to Be Resolved by Esfand 1405
The Head of the Statistical Centre of Iran announced that the status of vacant housing statistics will be resolved by Esfand 1405.
The head of Iran's statistical center announced the assignment of empty house statistics until March 1405.
According to the report of Ambassador of Arjan, Gholamreza Gudarzi, about the time of publishing the new statistics of empty houses, he said: In the population and housing census department, we are trying to prepare the report of the items collected in the census by March 1405.
He added: "The issue of empty houses has a separate process and it is not only within the scope of the tasks of the Statistics Center, but another agency is responsible in this field." However, the statistics center cooperates with the responsible agency to produce these statistics.
The head of the Iranian Statistics Center stated: "Our effort is to publish the statistics of empty houses in the same period of time, but we have to wait until the relevant process is completed to announce the final result."
Pointing to the complexities of identifying empty houses, Guderzi said: In the census, the identification of people's residences is based on statistical blocks, and connecting each person to their residence requires specific algorithms.
The head of the Iranian Statistics Center continued: The accuracy of these algorithms in assigning people to their places of residence, as well as the accuracy of the information that people declare about their places of residence, is effective in the final result. On the other hand, the identification of empty places also requires the examination of a set of information and indicators. The information related to the number of empty units, tenants, second residences, units that have changed use, as well as some data related to dilapidated structures, are placed in different statistical categories, and it should be determined from which path each of these information can be provided.
Goderzi added: Part of the information is collected in the framework of the census, and another part, including information related to energy consumption and other specialized indicators, requires cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions.
The head of Iran's Statistics Center noted: For this reason, determining the status of empty houses is a multifaceted process, and in order to obtain accurate statistics, different information and indicators must be checked together.
