Taranj Investment Advisor and Saman Bank to Establish First Private-Sector Foreign-Currency Fixed-Income Fund

Taranj Investment Consultant and Saman Bank took a historic step towards financial innovation in Iran by receiving approval in principle from the Securities and Exchange Organization. These two reputable financial institutions establish the country's first "fixed foreign exchange income" fund of the private sector; A new tool that is supposed to change the pattern of currency investment in the capital market.

According to the agreement, the investment management of this fund will be under the responsibility of "Tranj Investment Advisor", which is one of the key players in the capital market with 125 assets under the management and management of 11 diverse investment funds.

On the other hand, Saman Bank, as an operational arm, is responsible for managing foreign exchange operations and guaranteeing the liquidity of the fund. This bank, which has a 14% share in the foreign exchange operation of goods import and is one of the leading banks in providing currency to Iran's exchange center, is considered a strong support for this new structure.

The key differentiator of this fund is its "fixed currency income" nature. In a situation where the purchase and holding of foreign currency alone makes investors vulnerable to the inflation of the country of origin of the currency and reduces their real purchasing power, this fund with a specialized approach, in addition to creating foreign exchange yield, offers a solution to cover this devaluation.

This fund, which is designed with the structure of "issuance and cancellation", facilitates investors' access to foreign exchange services, and Saman Bank branches will be the point of connection of this innovative tool to the general public of investors.

The entry of specialized institutions of the capital market along with banking infrastructure paves a new path for the management of foreign currency assets that were either unavailable or associated with traditional risks.
