Doja Cat Shoots First Short Documentary on Her Ma Vie World Tour Using Meta Ray-Ban Glasses
Directed by Kevin Whitney Wilson, the film is a roughly 12-minute short shot almost entirely with Ray-Ban Meta glasses, filmed from the perspective of Doja Cat and her crew on the current tour.
Tour documentaries are nothing new. But snapping one — even a short one — on Ray-Ban Meta glasses is a new way to do it.
On October 23rd, one day after taking the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Doja Cat will launch the Ma Vie World Tour in partnership with Ray-Ban Meta. It's an approximately 12-minute short film shot almost entirely with Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses, from the perspective of Cat Duja and his band members on current tour.
The acclaimed director is Kevin Whitney Wilson, who previously directed Jean-Michel Basquiat's documentary about the iconic artist, shows such as Ziwe, Your Attention Please and MPower, and music videos for artists such as Lizzo and Baby Ariel. The footage shows Duja taking the stage on tour with all the behind-the-scenes footage that fans have come to love from these types of tour documentaries, such as waiting in the wings before showtime and backstage with members of his inner circle.

"Dujja leaves everything on that stage for his fans, and creating a doc-style piece around that energy was a dream. We shot with Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which allowed us to capture the tour from the inside, through Duja's eyes and through the eyes of the team that makes it all happen. It's an intimate, unfiltered look at Tour Ma Vie, the chaos, put you on the edge of this mess," Wilson said in a statement to Hollywood.
