In a message on the occasion of Hafez Shirazi's commemoration day, Masoud Bizikian described this poet as the crystallization of the Iranian human spirit and the narrator of hope in the times of difficulties.

The secret of Hafez's presence in the lives of Iranians was his understanding of man and God and the lifestyle he proposed to people. In this lifestyle, tolerance, hope, least harm, honesty, integrity, and happiness are fixed principles. Hafez is the promoter of that point of view that gathers the mutually contradictory dualities in a compatible unity and reaches a single and compatible narrative of contradictory alternatives.
