How to Complete The Emissary in Valor Mortis

☠️ You need Shield Transmutation, which you get at the university, to pass through the poisonous clouds.

☠️ This is the ultimate transformation you'll unlock and it's impossible to miss.

The Emissary quest in Valor Mortis is probably the next one you'll encounter after crossing the bridge in the Valley of Ashes and reaching the army camp.

You'll find the seal of Bonaparte's envoy in an abandoned carriage, but the quest reveals that you must somehow get through the poisonous clouds that have invaded the camp to progress further.

You'll need the Shield Transmutation ability to do this, but you won't unlock this until much later in the game, when you visit University City. Ash Valley is the second area of the game, while the University is the ninth, which shows how far you have to progress first in order to return and complete this quest.

Once you have this ability, use it to get past the poison, go through the camp, and interact with the unusual corpse to start a mini-boss fight of sorts. After this, open the chest to get the Perfect Copy Amber, which will boost the rank of other Tier 1 and Tier 2 Ambers.
