Iran More Concerned About Economic War Than Armed Confrontation, Parliament Speaker Says

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the most important priority in our decision-making at present is the well-being of the Iranian people and the armed forces.

Rabat, October 13. /TASS/. Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Council, said: Iran is currently more concerned about dealing with sanctions and economic pressure than armed confrontation.

Ghalibaf said: Today, economic war is more important than military confrontation or cyber war. According to him, economic pressure is "the main focus of the war against Iran, and the main duty of the country's authorities is to make correct decisions and ensure stable government governance."

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament noted that the Islamic Republic "evaluates the events of the past carefully and both the government and the parliament are trying to cope with these conditions." Qalibaf added: Currently, the most important priority in our decision-making is the welfare of the Iranian people and the armed forces.
