The sad story of the worn-out tissues of Ilam; support packages for renovation should be increased

Ilam - Years of neglect have turned the old neighborhoods of Ilam into a center of vulnerability; But good support packages and renovation loans can save these unsafe houses from the danger fault.

Ambassador of Arjan - Provinces Group: Mahsa Nazari; The dilapidated urban fabric is a legacy of the past that, with the passage of time and neglect, has become one of the serious challenges of urban management; Ilam is no exception to this rule and parts of its urban fabric show obvious signs of wear and tear.

These tissues are facing problems such as dilapidated buildings, narrow and impenetrable passages, and weak infrastructure, which has caused serious difficulties for living in these neighborhoods.

These problems, along with the vulnerability of buildings to natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, have revealed the necessity of paying special attention to the reconstruction of these structures and have put the safety and quality of life of the residents of these neighborhoods at risk.

Accordingly, the reconstruction and regeneration of worn-out structures has become one of the main policies in the field of urban construction, and its purpose is to strengthen buildings, improve the condition of roads and infrastructures, and improve the quality of life of residents.

Undoubtedly, the implementation of this project in different cities of the province will be followed with the cooperation of the executive bodies and the participation of the people, so that the renovation of these tissues is provided and the cities become safe and suitable spaces for life.

Reconstruction of the worn-out fabrics of Ilam

In a conversation with Mehr's reporter, the Deputy Director of Civil Affairs Coordination of Ilam Governorate, referring to the implementation process of the regeneration plan of the province's dilapidated tissues, said: In the field of urban regeneration, our main task is to identify the target areas and develop implementation plans that suit the conditions of each city.

Reza Darabi added: Out of a total of 24 targeted cities in the province, 14 cities have been approved in the first stage, and five new cities will be studied in the coming weeks, and after approval, their information will be uploaded to the system.

Referring to the funds allocated for this plan, Darabi stated: A project of 200 billion Tomans was proposed for the dilapidated infrastructures of the country, but due to the war conditions, about 80 billion Tomans of this amount was allocated for the infrastructures of the province, and we hope that with the full allocation of these funds, the implementation process of the project will accelerate.

The deputy director of civil affairs coordination of Ilam governorate noted: One of the problems we are facing in worn-out structures is the unauthorized constructions in the area of flood dams, which unfortunately have been carried out in the past years and have endangered the safety of the residents of these areas.

In the end, he emphasized: Based on the policies of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, support for worn-out structures and their regeneration in urban areas has increased, and we are trying to provide the ground for securing and renovating these structures with the cooperation of the executive bodies and the participation of the people.

Referring to one of the most important goals of this plan, Rafiei clarified: strengthening buildings against natural disasters is the main focus of this plan; Because many residential units in these contexts do not have the necessary strength, and in case of an earthquake or flood, the lives of their residents are at serious risk.

He pointed out: In addition to the safety issue, improving the condition of roads, water and sewage networks, lighting and green spaces are also on the agenda so that the quality of life of the residents of these neighborhoods can be improved and they can live in a suitable and safe environment.

Emphasizing the need for coordination between the institutions, Rafiei added: This plan requires the joint cooperation of municipalities, AFA, electricity and other service providers, and if this coordination is established properly, we can witness a significant change in the dilapidated tissues of the province.

In the end, he emphasized: Our ultimate goal is for the residents of worn-out structures to feel safe and secure and enjoy the right to live in a decent and safe environment, and this goal will only be achieved with the collective efforts of officials and people.

Transformation in worn-out tissues of Ilam by renovating residential units

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, the deputy housing and building department of Ilam province's road and urban development department, referring to the condition of residential units in dilapidated areas of the province, said: renovation and retrofitting of these units is on the agenda, and the implementation and review stages are currently underway.

Farid Afsardeh added: Many buildings located in these contexts were built years ago without observing technical standards, and this issue has made the necessity of seriously entering the field of renovation more obvious.

Afsadeh clarified: In this plan, efforts are being made to guide the owners of dilapidated units to receive renovation and reconstruction facilities, and the administrative process related to the issuance of permits and construction supervision will also be followed more quickly.

He pointed out that one of the main axes of this program is to pay attention to the quality of construction and compliance with technical principles in new units, so that after renovation, we will see strong and safe buildings in these neighborhoods.

Referring to the importance of owners' cooperation, Afsadeh added: Without the participation of residents and owners of dilapidated structures, the implementation of this project will proceed slowly and it is necessary for the people to cooperate with the authorities in this direction.

In the end, he emphasized: The ultimate goal of this program is to improve the quality of housing and the safety of the residents of dilapidated structures, and we hope that with the continuation of the current trend, we will see a noticeable change in the condition of residential units in these neighborhoods.

The renovation of residential units in the dilapidated areas of Ilam is considered a necessary measure to improve the safety and quality of life of the residents of these neighborhoods, and considering that this project is on the agenda of the authorities, it is expected that with the cooperation of the owners and the cooperation of the executive bodies, the renovation process will speed up and we will see a noticeable change in the housing situation of these areas.
