Former Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat who is currently running to retake his US Senate seat in Ohio after losing his 2024 reelection bid, has indicated he will not support impeachment of President Donald Trump.

The former lawmaker told The Columbus Dispatch on Oct. 9, "I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't support impeachment of Trump. There's just no reason to, no matter what happens in the midterms."

While Trump has endorsed Husted, former President Barack Obama supports Brown.
