Acting Deputy Head of Handicrafts Appointed at Gilan Cultural Heritage Department

By order of Yousef Salmankhah, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province, Alireza Mehrgan was appointed acting deputy head of the Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Office while retaining his current post.

By the decree of Yusuf Salmankhah, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province, Alireza Mehrgan was appointed as the Deputy Director of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of this General Directorate.

According to Aria Heritage reporter, Yusuf Salmankhah, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province, appointed Alireza Mehrgan as the Acting Deputy of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of this General Directorate.

In a part of this ruling, expertise, commitment and competence are listed among the foundations of this appointment and the necessity of efforts in the direction of advancing the realization of the policies of the 14th government has been emphasized.

Handicrafts and traditional arts, as a part of Iran's cultural capital and historical identity, play an important role in protecting the intangible heritage, strengthening the culture-oriented economy, supporting artists and craftsmen, and developing job creation capacities. Gilan province, with its cultural diversity, rich history of local arts and crafts, has significant grounds for the development of this field.

It should be mentioned that Alireza Mehrgan is one of the veteran employees of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Gilan, who was previously the head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Soumesara city and was appointed as the acting deputy of handicrafts and traditional arts while maintaining his position. Among his records, it can be mentioned that he was the head of the cultural heritage agency of Masal city.
