Reuters: Iran continues to export liquid gas and jet fuel despite the US naval blockade

The spokesman of the US Treasury Department, in response to shipping data that suggested the possibility of ships passing through the blockade, expressed doubt about this information and claimed that ships may falsify their location or use fake identities when loading.

Ambassador Arjan announced based on the data of shipping information and the statements of people who are active in the field of maritime security that Iran has been able to continue exporting liquid petroleum gas and jet fuel despite the US naval blockade.

According to Ambassador Arjan, four maritime security activists who monitor oil movements in the Persian Gulf told Reuters that Tehran has hidden these cargoes in the waters near Oman in recent weeks amid the increasing volume of cargo transfers from ship to ship by other producers in the Persian Gulf region.

In this regard, an analyst said that some tankers carrying Iranian liquefied petroleum gas have transferred their cargoes to other ships near the coastal cities of Shinas and Sohar in Oman, while others are waiting in the Gulf of Oman to pass the US naval blockade.

Ambassador Arjan could not get a comment from the Iranian authorities in this regard.
