Mohammad Kasbi Never Profited From His Art; Let's Hope We Don't Appreciate Him Only After His Death!

Ceremony Honoring Mohammad Kasbi Held at the Islamic Revolution Art Center.

According to Mehr reporter, the commemoration ceremony of Mohammad Kasbi with the title of "Jealous" was held today evening on 21 Mehr in the art field of the Islamic Revolution.

Among those present in this program, we can mention Hojjatul Islam Mohammad Qomi, head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization, Mohammad Mahdi Dadman, head of the Islamic Revolution Art Field, Ali Montazeri, director of Academic Jihad, Majid Zainul Abdin, advisor to the head of Radio and Broadcasting, Amir Hossein Shafiei, director of the Performing Arts Center of the Islamic Revolution Art Field, Ali Shahhatami, Farhad Qaimian, Shahriar Barhani, Tajbakhsh Fanaian, Reza Banafshekhah, Reza Iranmanesh, Hossamuddin Siraj, etc.

The ceremony began after reciting verses from the Holy Quran and playing the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Next, a clip on the subject of mourning for the martyred leader was broadcast.

Then, another clip of the Shahid leader's Chafieh giving to Mohammad Kasbi in the hospital was shown to the audience.

Hossein Ghasemi was in charge of this program.

Maryam Saadat appeared on the stage with the invitation of the presenter to mention some memories to the audience. He stated: A great artist does not die and should not be called deceased. They are and are present. I believe that Mr. Cosby is one of those colleagues who are still present. When we were colleagues in the "Khosh Rabak" series; They called me "Saadat".

Yalda Kasbi, the daughter of the late Mohammad Kasbi, was the next speaker of the event. She read a text about her father to the audience.

He was also "zealous" in life

Later, Majid Zainul Abdin, advisor to the head of the Broadcasting Organization, said: I raise this question; Why "zealous"? Mohammad Kasbi has about 200 titles of activity in different fields of cinema, television and theater. For those who had 40-50 years of cooperation with him, the answer to this question is clear. But for younger people, it may be unknown. Mohammad Kasbi didn't just play "Khosh-e-Ghirt", he lived it. He was "zealous" in life, art and beliefs. He always said, where is the kid on the street, where is the Supreme Leader and Imam and General Soleimani? Mohammad Kasbi never made a career out of his art.

He added: It is a shame to talk about Mohammad Kasbi and not talk about his zeal and his family. He considered his family as his guardian angels during the last days of his life when he was on the bed of illness. Kasbi was concerned with art until the last day of his life and was literally one of the most literate artists of our land.

I feel like it's the 5th anniversary of Cosby's death

After Zainul Abdin, Ali Shahhatami appeared on the stage and stated: I feel that today is the fifth year of Mohammad Kasbi's death. Because I believe that artists die when they are alone and do not find a place to be in their art field. I didn't have a script when I made Khus Raqab. When I invited Mohammad Kasbi to play a role in this series; A miracle took shape before my eyes. Mohammad Kasbi did not act, if acting is the basis, Mohammad Kasbi was the worst actor in cinema and television. He lived every role and gave so much of himself to that character that the character itself came alive.

He added: When I told him about the role, he was really talking to the truck and crying before the start of filming. These things made me add some things in the script based on the sensory interactions of Mohammad Kasbi with the truck. Mohammad Kasbi was the only artist of Iranian cinema who was really in tears, and it was enough to say the name of Amir al-Momenin before the beginning of any scene that required crying, and he would start crying. I think the least thing that the Islamic Revolution Art Field can do is to change the name of Tamashakhane Mehr to Mohammad Kasbi.

Next, another clip with the comments of various artists about Kasbi was played.

Design an award with the name of Mohammad Kasbi

Farhad Qahimian was also one of the speakers of this commemoration, while greeting the audience, Qahimian said: I was in the presence of Mr. Mohammad Kasbi in Yazd for 9 months. What I learned in these 9 months, above all, was artistic ethics and social ethics. How and where to stand in this field. I think Mohammad Kasbi's whole life was summed up in those 9 months. I will never forget how he directed the actor in front of him without thinking. The day I was supposed to play against him, my legs were shaking without exaggeration. I also request that an award be given in the name of Mohammad Kasbi through the field of art.

He continued to present other memories of Mohammad Kasbi.

After Qahemian, Shahriar Bahrani said: I worked on several projects in different spaces and genres with Mohammad Kasbi. In the "Holy Mary" series, the intended role for him was a strange role. Mr. Cosby's work was difficult, because he could not eat anything after putting on makeup, because his makeup would have problems. Despite all these challenges, they appeared very well in front of the camera. His acting level was very high and he had powerful eyes in front of the camera.

A friend who has a long history; He was in love

Tajbakhsh Fanaian was the next speaker of this commemoration ceremony. Referring to the long history of his friendship with Mohammad Kasbi, he explained: My friendship with Mohammad Kasbi begins at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts before the revolution. Mr. Davoud Daneshvar was planning to perform a text by Martyr Hossein Qashqai. The first performance that was performed in Chaharso Hall after the revolution was the same show in which Mr. Mohammad Kasbi also acted. This show had many viewers.

He added: Mohammad Kasbi continued and his beliefs did not change a bit, but his art was expanding day by day. One of the most prominent artists who did the right way of acting was Mohammad Kasbi. He loved people and loved the province and the revolution very much. He did not live for prominence, he lived for art, people, religion and revolution.

I wish they don't appreciate us after our death

Reza Iranmanesh was the last speaker of this program by reciting verses. Iranmanesh emphasized: I want to speak frankly and say that we Iranians are really dead worshipers. The last time I met Mohammad Kasbi, which was 3-4 months after his death, he was deeply moved. We were in a project together in Ahvaz; It was very happy that I came in front of the camera after a while and I am playing a role. He said right there, I wish they don't appreciate a person after death.

Then the show "Baigani" written by Mohammad Kasbi and directed by Mahmoud Farhang was performed in Tamashakhane Mehr.
