Fines for Motorcycle License Plate Violations / Over 109,000 Violations Enforced in First Half of Year

Greater Tehran Traffic Police Chief stressed that covering a license plate is a violation, but tampering with or altering its numbers is a crime punishable by six months to one year in prison. More than 109,000 motorcycle plate violations were enforced in the first half of 1405.

The Chief of Traffic Police of Greater Tehran announced the enforcement of the law on more than 109 thousand violations of motorcycle license plates in the first half of 1405 and emphasized: Covering the license plate is a violation, but distorting and manipulating its numbers is considered a crime in addition to the violation, and the perpetrator will be sentenced to 6 months to one year in prison.
