A 97-year-old man, who was imprisoned in Lorestan due to financial and property disputes, was released and returned to the arms of his family with the follow-up of the judicial system, the cooperation of the Dieh headquarters, the forgiveness of the plaintiffs, and the help of donors.
Ambassador of Arjan-Incidents Group: Imran Ali Mohammadi, Chief Justice of Lorestan, stated: The release of this elderly prisoner took place while financial and property disputes had tied his life to imprisonment, and with the arrival of the judicial system and headquarters of the Lorestan District, investigating the debt situation and satisfying the complaints, it finally led to peace and reconciliation and the return of this 97-year-old man to his family.
He emphasized the necessity of resolving financial disputes through mediation and compromise and added: The approach of the judicial system in the period of transformation and excellence is to focus on reforming self-interest, expanding the culture of peace and compromise, and reducing the criminal population, and financial cases rooted in property disputes and civil transactions need mediation and providing a context for dialogue between the parties rather than punishment.
Referring to the condition of this 97-year-old prisoner, he added: This client was imprisoned due to a dispute and negligence in a real estate matter, despite his old age and special physical conditions, and due to his condition, the case was placed on the agenda of the headquarters of Diyeh province, so that by using the capacity of benefactors and legal proceedings, the grounds for his release would be provided.
Referring to the debt of several billion tomans of this prisoner, the head of the Lorestan Judicial Council said: With the entry of the judicial system and the detailed investigation of the debt collection issue, part of the financial burden of this case was reduced with the cooperation and forgiveness of the accused, which played an important role in providing the client's release.
Alimohammadi considered Shekat's passing to be a manifestation of the culture of self-sacrifice, altruism, and social responsibility, and said: "The companionship of the plaintiffs, along with legal proceedings, paved the way for this elderly citizen to return to life with his family."
He also expressed his gratitude to the benefactors of the province and said that the amount of 250 million Tomans was paid by the benefactors to secure the advance installment of the installment debt so that this prisoner will be released from prison after going through legal procedures.
Emphasizing that the goal of this headquarters is not only the release of prisoners, he noted: strengthening the culture of peace and compromise and preventing financial lawsuits from entering prisons is one of the most important goals of this group.
Alimohammadi asked the citizens, elders and peacekeepers to help the judicial system in reducing the population of prisoners of non-intentional crimes by participating in resolving disputes and helping to create a compromise between the parties.
He emphasized: Lorestan's judicial system, by using the capacity of local benefactors and trustees, continues the path of supporting the prisoners of non-intentional crimes and providing the basis for their return to the family center.
More than 20,000 prisoners of non-intentional crimes in the country are waiting to receive help for their release; But behind this number, there are cases with different conditions; From an 18-year-old youth who is imprisoned with 14 dowry coins to a 97-year-old old man, from a sentence equivalent to three kilos of 18-carat gold to a case with 146 plaintiffs, each of whom has a different story of being caught in prison.
With the efforts of the support unit of Qezalhasar Penitentiary Complex and the holding of numerous meetings with the parents, definite satisfaction was achieved in 9 retribution cases. So far, seven prisoners have been released and two more convicts will be released after completing the administrative procedures.
