Kylian Mbappé and His Mother's Dispute with Lawyers Who Won Them Compensation / Mbappé Pays No One: 'I Am Not a Cash Cow!'
His team says Kylian Mbappé and his mother refused to pay bonuses, despite an oral commitment, to the lawyers who secured their victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sport Se, Kylian Mbappé entered into a fierce financial dispute with his famous lawyers after the big victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the court, which ended today with a secret agreement.
The story of Kylian Mbappé's long-term legal dispute with Paris Saint-Germain has a controversial and unexpected edge that we did not know about before. In December 2025, the Paris Labor Court sentenced the Parisian club to pay nearly 61 million euros in back wages and bonuses, which included 55 million euros in the original claim and 5.9 million euros in late interest and vacation pay. Mbappe was wearing a Real Madrid shirt at the time and his family won the case, but behind the scenes another battle was going on between the French star and his lawyers.
To win this legal battle, Mbappe's veteran lawyer Delphine Verheiden hired an elite team including Pierre-Olivier Sur in the criminal field, Thomas Kelly in civil law, and Frédéric Casero, an expert in labor law. These prominent figures of the Paris Bar Association made an agreement with Mbappe's mother and program director, Faezeh El-Ammari, according to which they would receive a success bonus if PSG were sentenced to a figure exceeding 55 million euros.
But Ekip newspaper revealed that Mbappe's mother never signed the contract and refused to accept her verbal commitment after the final verdict.
Mbappe's lawyers accused their client of exactly the same thing that Paris Saint-Germain's managers had previously accused him of, namely breaching oral promises and agreements.
These three lawyers filed a complaint in the Paris Bar Association and demanded to receive 6.2 million euros, but the mother of the Madrid star considered this figure very heavy and unreasonable.
Finally, the parties reached an amicable agreement to prevent this dispute from becoming public, and it was decided to pay an amount of around 1.5 million euros as additional salary to this legal team. Those close to Mbappe told Ekip that he was never looking for infamy, but was cautious about financial abuses and was not willing to play the role of a "milking cow" for others.
