Colonel Keshir: Sattarkhan Crash Has No Connection to Newly Built Bridge

The deputy for cultural and social affairs of Greater Tehran Traffic Police said: The claim that the fatal accident on 18 Mehr was caused by the unsafe route of the newly inaugurated Sattarkhan bridge is untrue; the accident occurred several meters before the bridge.

The cultural and social deputy of the Greater Tehran Traffic Police said: "The accident that resulted in death on October 18th and attributing it to the safety of the newly opened Sattar Khan bridge is not true, and this accident happened several meters before the bridge."

According to the report of Arjan's ambassador, Colonel Firouz Keshir added: At 20:00 in the evening of October 18, an accident that resulted in injuries was reported to the police. According to the initial report, a Peugeot 206 was moving correctly on the main road when it collided with a pedestrian crossing the street, and this person was seriously injured.

He added: The injured passenger was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel. Pedestrians are prohibited from crossing the street in unauthorized places, and according to the initial report, in this incident, a pedestrian collided with a car that was moving in its authorized lane while crossing the street.

The cultural and social deputy of the Greater Tehran Traffic Police emphasized: This accident happened several meters before the bridge. Therefore, attributing the accident to the unsafe route is not approved by the traffic police and had nothing to do with the bridge itself.
