New Jaguars cut short camping trip and seek passports ahead of Sunday's game in London

Jacob Bubenmuir was camping and changing diapers in Colorado when the Jacksonville Jaguars asked him to fly to London as their emergency snapper.

Cal interviews the wrong Viking Sports Talk with Cal McCallister Ep. 5

Cal thought he was interviewing a musician from the Minnesota Vikings, but thanks to Judy's spectacular misunderstanding, he ended up on the phone with Johan Grendelson, guitarist for a Viking-themed heavy metal band called Jörmungadr.

Last weekend's game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a wild one, and what bothered the Jags was the long layup.

Longtime starter Ross Maticic suffered a shoulder injury, which meant defensive tackle Davon Hamilton had to be held. The results were mixed, and a fumble on an extra point was so high that it resulted in a bad hold and a rare mistake from that range for kicker Cam Little.

But now, as the Jags stay in London at Wembley Stadium ahead of their game against the Houston Texans, they have signed former Broncos and Raiders Jacob Bubenmuir.

It's a welcome call, sure, but the camping trip unsettles her and makes her pray that her passport is still in the bathroom drawer where she left it.

Bobenmoyer was camping in the Colorado Wilderness when he got a text from his agent telling him the Jags would likely be in touch. So he went home on the off chance that they wanted him to go to the airport that night, which they did.

So imagine frankincense is on a camping trip and you have to get home early because you have to send it to London to do some long term jaguar duties.

Now imagine getting that call while "changing diapers and whatever," which is what happened to Bobenmoyer.

But there was still the issue of the passport in the bathroom drawer, which Bobenmuir didn't think he would ever need again.

The Rams cut kicker Harrison Mewis after he scored in overtime.

The 29-year-old from Northern Colorado has 97 NFL games under his belt, spanning three seasons in Denver and another three in Las Vegas.

Bobenmuir hit free agency last offseason, but most importantly, he didn't give up after not entering the season.

"I just practice and practice exactly how I would if I was with a team," he said. It worked."

He was sure. Another bite at the NFL apple and a free trip to London.
