This officer stated that such incidents have been recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Donetsk, October 12. /TASS/. Dmitry Kemerov, the commander of the assault unit of the 80th Tank Regiment of the Russian Center of Combat Groups, told TASS: "Ukraine's army has started to attach all kinds of explosives to Russian prisoners of war so that they can carry out sabotage operations against Russian positions."
The commander said: "We recorded such an incident for the first time at the end of summer, the enemy attached a mine and a backpack full of TNT to one of our comrades who had been captured earlier and sent him back to his position." We come across this issue from time to time and we hear about it from our allies.
Such incidents have been recorded in Dnepropetrovsk region, this officer said. According to him, one of the main goals of such an operation is to gather information and only then identify and destroy Russian positions.
Earlier, a fighter with the callsign Zemlyak told TASS that Ukrainian forces had begun using Russian prisoners as human bombs, sending them to Russian positions with mine collars equipped with GPS transmitters. According to defense sources, militiamen of the Azov Battalion (which is known as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia), the 36th Marine Brigade and the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are among those using Russian prisoners of war as human bombs.
