Tehran Air Pollution to Continue Through Weekend / Which Areas Will Be Most Affected?

The Tehran Province Meteorological Office warned of a possible decline in air quality in high-traffic urban areas through the end of the week.

Ambassador Arjan: General Directorate of Meteorology of Tehran province announced the possibility of decreasing air quality in high traffic urban areas by the end of the week.

The General Directorate of Meteorology of Tehran province announced: From today morning to Wednesday noon (October 21 to 22) and from Thursday to Friday noon (October 23 to 24), a relative decrease in air quality is expected in some hours.

Based on the analysis of synoptic patterns and the review of forecast maps, the sky of Tehran province is expected to be slightly cloudy to partly cloudy in some hours along with the increase of clouds and wind. Also, during this period, scattered showers are not far from expected in the highlands of the province, especially the upper elevations.

From today morning to Wednesday noon (October 21 to 22) and from Thursday to Friday noon (October 23 to 24) due to the absence of significant wind in high-traffic urban areas, especially in the central and southern areas of Tehran, a relative decrease in air quality is expected in some hours.

In the afternoon of Wednesday and Friday (October 22 and 24) in the southern half and western regions, moderate to relatively strong winds are expected in the southern and western borders with the possibility of temporary dust.

During Thursday and Friday, a relative increase in temperature is expected in the southern half and central regions of the province.

The sky of Tehran tomorrow (October 22) will be slightly cloudy to partly cloudy in some hours, thin mist will gradually decrease in the afternoon, the wind will increase with a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, and on Thursday (October 23) it will be slightly cloudy to partly cloudy.
