Direct Sales of Farm Products Begin at 7 Locations in Tehran / Are Prices Lower Than at Fruit and Vegetable Markets?

A Tehran Municipality spokesperson announced that seven markets in the capital's southern districts are ready to offer farm products directly to consumers.

He continued: In addition to the Zero Inflation Plan, Tehran Municipality has created the capacity of markets for direct supply of goods to help people's livelihood. Currently, in the seven southern districts of Tehran, under the management of Mayadin Organization, it has been possible for producers and farmers from all over the country to be present in these bazaars for direct supply of their goods. No fees are charged for the booth.

The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality added: The only condition of this cooperation is that, in fact, the finished price and the supply price of their products is lower than the price of products in our fruit and vegetable fields. The reason for that is clear because they don't pay for space rent, they have direct supply and middlemen have been removed. Our expectation is that the prices will be even lower than the prices of the products in the fruit and vegetable markets.

He added: Currently, the platform for selling products has been prepared at seven points, and we are definitely ready to cooperate with the government in this regard.
