Newspaper close to Qalibaf; Don't be afraid of the mother of all bombs
"In this situation, it is appropriate for the officials to talk to the people more and to be less silent about the statements of the American president, so that the public opinion of Iran feels this defensive shield in the media environment more."
Khorasan newspaper, in an article entitled "Mother of all bombs or mother of all bluffs?", described Donald Trump's threat to use America's most powerful non-nuclear bomb against Iran as a part of Washington's psychological war rather than a sign of preparation for a military attack.
According to Ambassador Arjan, Khorasan newspaper published an article entitled "Mother of all bombs or mother of all bluffs?" He addressed the recent threats of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, about the possibility of using a non-nuclear MOAB bomb against Iran and wrote: "The new threats of the President of the United States, rather than being able to be implemented in the military field, are just a new curtain of psychological-media war against Iran."
Referring to Trump's statements about the possibility of attacking Iran's nuclear facilities in Kahlang Mountain, this newspaper investigated the capabilities of the bomb known as the "mother of all bombs" and distinguished between this weapon and the grenade launchers used in the attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Why is the "mother of all bombs" not suitable for attacking underground facilities?
Khorasan wrote about the GBU-43/B bomb, which is known as the "mother of all bombs", "however, this weapon was made for extensive destruction of surface targets, and basically its function is that it explodes before hitting the ground, and its blast wave can damage a wide range of surface effects."
This newspaper further emphasized that such a bomb is not suitable for destroying facilities that are located deep in the ground and behind strong layers of stone and concrete and wrote: "This means that it is not suitable for destroying nuclear facilities that are protected perhaps hundreds of meters underground and behind strong layers of granite and concrete, and of course the Americans should tactically use the same rock-breaking bombs that they used before to target the Ford and Natanz nuclear facilities. they had given, to use it."
Khorasan also pointed to the lack of definitive information about the success rate of the US's previous attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities with the GBU-57 rock-crushing bomb, and referred to the CNN report about the doubts of US military circles about the effectiveness of using this bomb in a possible future conflict.
This newspaper quoted the estimate of the American Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and wrote that only about 10 GBU-43/B bombs remain in the possession of the United States; A problem that, according to Khorasan, can limit the decision to use this weapon.
Khorasan: Is Trump bluffing to get points from Iran?
Another part of Khorasan newspaper's article is devoted to war costs and the limitation of American weapons stocks. Referring to the estimate of the budget office of the US Congress, this newspaper wrote that the war against Iran has cost Washington 38 billion dollars so far.
Khorasan also cited CSIS's estimate of America's Patriot interceptor missile reserves and wrote that Washington had about 2,300 missiles of this type before the start of the war and used between 1,050 and 1,430 missiles during the conflict.
This newspaper further referred to Trump's statements about the reduction of American ammunition reserves; Statements in which the President of the United States attributed the responsibility for the lack of weapons to the administration of Joe Biden and the sending of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
Khorasan believes that the increase in war costs and the pressure caused by the situation in the Strait of Hormuz on the price of energy and basic goods have created difficult conditions for the Trump administration. This newspaper has written in its analysis that the probability of success of another military attack on Iran is weak and the prospect of the Republican Party winning the elections before the Congress is also facing difficulties.
Describing Trump's strategy, this newspaper wrote: "The gambler of the White House, who has long sought to use cognitive and media levers for a dignified escape from the Iran war, has today resorted to the bluff of using the mother of all bombs."
Khorasan further considered Trump's recent threat as an attempt to increase psychological pressure on Iran and score points during the exchange of messages and wrote that the threat of using this bomb was raised after the failure of previous US threats, including sending military ships and economic pressure.
Khorasan's advice to officials; Break the silence on Trump's threats
In the final part of its article, Khorasan newspaper considered it necessary to strengthen media and cognitive defense and emphasized the need for more communication between the authorities and the people.
This newspaper wrote: "In this situation, it is appropriate for the authorities to talk to the people more and to be less silent about the statements of the American president, so that the public opinion of Iran feels this defensive shield in the media environment more."
In this way, along with questioning the military effectiveness of the MOAB bomb against underground facilities, Khorasan has analyzed Trump's recent threat in the context of psychological warfare and trying to gain concessions from Iran.
