Warning: Buyers of this Samsung phone should not install the new update for now
Rollout of the major One UI 9.0 update for Galaxy A57 users has run into a strange problem.
Operating system upgrade usually gives a new feel to smartphones and brings attractive features, but sometimes these software packages turn into an unexpected nightmare.
A group of buyers of the Galaxy A57 mid-range phone after receiving the latest software package have faced the problem of continuous turning off and turning on and locking the system, which has made the normal use of this Samsung phone practically impossible.
Reports from buyers of international versions indicate that the upgrade to One UI 9.0, which is based on Android 17, causes severe disruption in the initial stages of launch. Interestingly, the South Korean-branded Galaxy Quantum 7 had previously received the same update without such errors, but users in other parts of the world have not had much luck with the new software package.
Technical reviews shared on social networks yield clues to a strange error in XML files. Phones caught in this crisis get stuck on the "Access Denied" message or display raw lines of XML tree-structured documents when going through the user interface introduction section. The consequence of such an event is the inability of the device to enter the home page and the complete locking of the user interface.
The incident did not happen to all users and a group of device owners were able to complete the installation process without any problems. However, since there is no reliable way to predict the performance of the device before performing the upgrade process, experts recommend waiting until the release of the supplementary patch. Samsung has not yet released a clear statement about the timing of rooting the bug.
Temporary solution to restore the function of the phone
Users who are currently facing this problem and do not have access to the contents of their device can try an unofficial trick provided by the user community to bypass the error barrier.
Hold the power key and the volume down button at the same time until the shutdown menu appears on the screen.
Hold your finger on the Power Off option until Safe Mode appears.
Select the Safe Mode option and wait for the boot process to complete.
After successfully loading the OS in safe mode, turn the device off and on once normally.
Early feedback suggests that temporary entry into safe mode can bypass faulty reading of configuration files and allow stable loading of the system. Of course, this is not a guaranteed method, and the safest approach for those who haven't taken action yet is to temporarily ignore the update notification until Samsung releases an official statement.
