Russian forces launched massive attacks on the besieged Ukrainian bases in Kharkiv

The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the destruction of these fortifications disrupted the enemy's plans and destroyed the vital stockpile of military equipment.

Moscow, October 16. /TASS/. The crew operating the Oragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the 11th Corps of the Russian Army's Northern Combat Group destroyed Ukrainian besieged positions in the Kharkiv region during a massive attack, the Russian Defense Ministry told TASS.

Pointing out that Russian forces continue to intensify the siege and expansion of Kharkov's external area, the Ministry said: "Artillery units of the 11th Corps of the Northern Army of the Battle Group inflicted losses on the enemy. As a result of a massive attack, one of the crews of the Uragan MLRS destroyed strong points and personnel of Ukrainian units."

The ministry emphasized that the destruction of the trenches disrupted the enemy's plans and destroyed the vital stockpile of military equipment.

In addition, the Ministry reported on the combat operations carried out by the Northern Battle Group in the Third Region. A Molnya-2 drone crew of the 44th Army Corps identified and destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that was carefully camouflaged in a forest.

The ministry added: The destruction of the enemy's self-propelled artillery unit reduces the artillery power of the Ukrainian forces in this part of the front and helps to successfully carry out tasks aimed at expanding the security buffer zone.
