Will you need a Paramount+ subscription to watch Avatar: Seven Havens?
Avatar: Seven Havens premiered exclusively on Paramount+ last week. And shortly after that happened, Paramount went ahead and revealed that seasons 3 and 4 of the series have already been greenlit, along with another Avatar project.
As someone who does not currently subscribe to Paramount+, I find myself conflicted. Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite animated show of all time and I loved what the creators did with The Legend of Korra. So while I really want to watch Seven Havens, I really don't want to add a Paramount+ subscription to my monthly streaming bill.
I could easily write off the new show as a shameless grab for my subscription dollars, but the premiere's overwhelmingly positive reviews make it harder to avoid. Couple that with the fact that I still haven't seen Avatar Aang, and it seems inevitable that I'll get at least a temporary subscription just to watch those two things.
Episode Name Avatar: The Seven Deadly Sins Revealed
With Paramount completing its acquisition of Skydance from Warner Bros. Discovery, this likely won't be the last time a Paramount+ subscription is needed to watch a popular show. For now I'm still sticking to the HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+ bundle as my main source of content, but who knows when that might go away. For now I'm glad I only have to spend the extra $8.99 to watch the new Avatar show.
