Iran Book and Literature House is a coordinator between publishing houses and policy-making institutions

Ebrahim Heydari said in the joint-thinking meeting of institutions active in the field of children and adolescents: Iran Book and Literature House, as a coordinating institution between publishing houses, organizations and policy-making institutions, is ready to provide facilities for the operational plans of institutions active in the field of children and adolescents.

According to the report of Iran's Ambassador Arjan (Ambassador Arjan), citing the public relations and international affairs of Iran's book and literature house, the meeting "Co-thinking institutions active in the field of children and adolescents with Ebrahim Heydari; CEO of Iran Book and Literature House" was held on Wednesday (October 22, 1405).

In this meeting, Ebrahim Heydari expressed his satisfaction with the presence of active organizations in the field of children's and youth books in Iran's Book and Literature House and said: "This is your home and our duty is to create coordination between publishing houses and organizations with the government."

He added: This is the philosophy behind the formation of Iran's House of Books and Literature. As a planning institution, we mediate between policy makers and executive institutions. Our main task is to collect and organize your concerns and deliver them to the upper management.

Heydari continued: This consensus in the field of children's books should have been held earlier. In the past months, we had many meetings with various organizations and institutions, but the conditions of the country after the recent imposed wars limited the opportunity to deal with fundamental and radical works in all institutions. However, in this situation, threats can be turned into opportunities. It is necessary to change the procedures, take advantage of each other's cooperation to advance fundamental works in the field of culture and books for children and teenagers, and put the capacities of the private sector, the government, and policy-making institutions together so that threats become opportunities.

In another part of his speech, while congratulating the National Children's Week, Heydari said: What is done in the field of children and adolescents is not a cost; It is a kind of investment. Education and training of children can transform a generation and rebuild society.

He emphasized: We are not looking to create a generation of only elite and scientists, our goal is to educate civilized children and teenagers; A child who does not hurt neighbors and others, feels the pain of his fellow man and shares in the happiness of others. Such a child is saddened by the killing of Minab children and feels the suffering of shoeless and hungry children in every part of the world and with every religion and religion. The name of this feeling is humanity and we must seek to create it among Iranian children and teenagers. Raising such a generation is the responsibility of you, the activists of this field, and the main mission of associations and organizations in the field of children and adolescents.

Referring to the successful experience of setting up book clubs in his previous responsibilities, the CEO of Iran Book and Literature House said: We are now seeing the fruits of those book clubs in some parts of the country.

Heydari continued: Last week, in the midst of war and unstable conditions in the country, we held the 22nd Sistan and Baluchistan Book Fair in Zahedan. This exhibition was held centrally and the publishers were not physically present, but in one week 17 thousand books were sold in the center of the province. This statistic shows that the capacity of people's tendency towards books in the provinces is still alive. This is the result of the efforts of popular organizations and institutions and shows their influence in the society. Your work is also organization, institution building and education; That is, build structures that will not disappear after the end of the term of responsibility of government administrators and continue the education and promotion of books in different regions.

Decisions of the field of books for children and teenagers are made in consultation with the people of this field

The CEO of the House of Books and Literature of Iran continued: The work as a public administrator ends with the end of the term of responsibility. The main task at the moment is to provide the infrastructure to create synergies between the institutions active in the field of books for children and teenagers, and it is your responsibility to continue this work. I believe that the work should be entrusted to organizations, institutions and associations; Even in decision-making, decision-making and implementation, organizations and trades should come to work. This is the general approach and the respected Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and his deputy for cultural affairs also believe the same. From this point of view, every decision in the field of books for children and adolescents should be made with the consultation, support and participation of active and influential organizations in the field of children and adolescents.

He added: Iran's House of Books and Literature has a set of facilities that can be used to realize this synergy. From the production capacity of public relations and international affairs and the news coverage of the book network and the Arjan Ambassador of Iran to the halls of Sarai Ahl Qalam and Sarai Kitab and financial and executive support. If you suggest a suitable and effective plan in the field of children's books, we will review it in joint meetings and bring it to a conclusion. National Children's Week should not be underestimated. The planning of this effective cultural event in the coming years should be started three to four months earlier so that a national festival for children and teenagers can be held on this occasion and even its budget should be predicted from the previous year.

The CEO of the Iranian Book and Literature House continued by emphasizing the necessity of joint planning and said: It is necessary to determine what joint action can be taken between us in the remaining period of this year and what plan should be developed for the next year as well. Which activities that have not been done in the field of children should be started and which programs that are running need to be completed, what new programs should be defined and how the shortcomings of the existing programs should be eliminated. Whatever is in my area of responsibility, I will personally follow up and in other areas of the cultural affairs vice-chancellor, I will also provide the necessary accompaniments to advance the affairs.

Heydari explained: Organizations can play a role in implementing cultural programs and developing activities in the field of books for children and teenagers by presenting a plan. Directly and with our support, participate in provincial book fairs and Tehran International Book Fair, participate in national book awards for children and teenagers, such as the children and teenagers section of the Jalal Al-Ahmad Literary Award, the Fajr International Poetry Festival, and the Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Any of these facilities that are needed will be provided to you. Our view is that these facilities belong to you and we are only responsible for providing the infrastructure and coordinating things like a connecting link.

Referring to the upcoming event "Minab's Six-Word Story" as one of the opportunities for synergistic organizations active in the field of children's and youth books, the CEO of Iran Book and Literature House said: This award was welcomed worldwide and nearly 16,000 works from 29 countries of the world reached its secretariat. These works have enlightening content and their books are being published in two languages. The final ceremony of this award will be held on November 29, at the same time as International Children's Day, in the city of Minab - the place where the 168 angels of Shajre Tayyaba Minab School flew. The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and many organizations, institutions and families will attend this ceremony. It is expected that the Children's Book Council, as the oldest civil organization in this area, the Association of Children and Youth Publishers, the Association of Children and Youth Writers and its patriotic members who stood up to work and wrote for Minab, the Association of Digital Publishers of Children's and Youth Books, the Association of Iranian Illustrators and the Association of Children and Youth Book Promoters are also expected to attend this event and implement programs.

The need to present an operational plan to accompany Iran's Book and Literature House with activists in the field of children and adolescents

In the final part of his speech, Heydari said: the current conditions of the country are difficult and the expectations should be in accordance with this environment and within the framework of the facilities of the public sector and the private sector, but the light of literature and children's books in Iran has remained lit even in the most difficult periods. Our Iran is the main source of culture and books in the world, and preserving it is the duty of each one of us, and each of us must do our part to protect this heritage. Dictionary of children and teenagers is our reference book and guide and should be taken seriously. I personally follow the licensing of new volumes of this collection.

Addressing the chairman of the board of directors of the Children and Adolescent Writers Association, he said: We are pursuing the revival of the school librarian and the opening of school doors to non-curriculum books, which is the link between the school and the author and the book, by correspondence and joint follow-up with the organizations in the field of children's and adolescent books from the Ministry of Education and the Program and Budget Organization. The project of assigning Kalaberg to the national code for the inclusion of books in the general Kalaberg basket is also being carried out with the follow-up of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Heydari added: We also support the plan of using pictures of widely read Iranian books in writing software if the executive written plan is presented and the authors meet with students in schools and provincial book exhibitions for children and teenagers.

He further pointed out that the fact that the illustrator is not seen as a creator is surprising, and said: In children's and adolescent books, the image creates the work alongside the text, and the illustrator's contribution is ignored in festivals and awards. I saw at the Russian book fair how the works of Iranian illustrators were received. This view should be corrected in our activities, and in book exhibitions, the possibility of the presence of illustrators and the presentation of their works will be provided.

The CEO of Iran Book and Literature House continued: I will follow up on the case of forming the official association of book promoters and facilitators for children and teenagers so that at every stage that is stopped, it will be resolved through contact and consultation. Because the network of promoters across the country is a valuable capacity to promote reading.

Regarding the design of interesting book-oriented experiences, I also ask the promoters to bring an action plan to be implemented.

In the end, Heydari emphasized: I ask all of you who are involved in the field of books for children and teenagers to present your operational plans in the next meeting - each plan on one page, so that it can be concluded with the consultation of others. Iran Book and Literature House will provide all its facilities and capabilities to these programs and projects.

Reading it provides an opportunity to distinguish between the reported facts, the authors' perceptions, and the possible consequences of political developments.
