Tajernia: Our request should be officially examined/ The conscience of the board votes for Esteghlal championship.

The chairman of Esteghlal's board of directors says that if the arguments of this club are reviewed without fuss in the board of the federation, the conscience of the members will vote to announce the championship of the Blues.

According to "Varzesh Se", Esteghlal managers are still pursuing the assignment of the semi-finished league champion and they want the football federation to present the club's official request in the meeting of the board of directors. Ali Taghernia claims that even some members of the board of directors have considered Esteghlal worthy of a championship in private conversations.

The chairman of Esteghlal's board of directors said about his recent follow-ups: "Recently, I had a request from the league organization, and there it was recommended to raise the issue of the championship according to Esteghlal's request. A meeting was also held in which we were present and discussions took place. I don't want to go into the details of that meeting now, because that might cause tension, and that's not our goal. Our goal is to form the right behavior."

Tajernia continued: "If we don't follow the promises, agreements and talks that are made in football, good conditions will not develop. Some members of the board contacted me and expressed their opinion. A number of them said that because they belong to another team, they may not be able to speak in the outer space, but in the internal meetings, they consider it fair to announce the independence of the champion.

He added: "When something happens, why should we take a position contrary to these talks? What do we want to prove? Do we want to tell the fans that we care? I have said many times, what does the hero of the declaration of independence lack from others? If Esteghlal withdraws from this claim, which other team can claim the championship? These two questions are simple and not particularly complicated."

Referring to the incompleteness of the league in Iran, Esteghlal's acting CEO said: "I explained to my friends that five or six countries were involved in a war in our region, but they finished their matches. Why can't we in Iran, who resisted and fought with two big countries, finish the league and the elimination cup? If for any reason we could not finish the matches, it was not the clubs fault. The planning of the federation and the preparation of the national team caused this to happen. "For the sake of the national team, we violated our right to continue the tournament, and naturally, the federation should also fulfill our right."

Using a sarcastic interpretation, Tajernia said: "When we need clubs, we cannot say that the matches will not be held and provide your players to the national team earlier so that the national team can prepare for a successful participation, but when the harvest passes the bridge, we can say that the games are frozen and we will not do anything."

He said about the contradiction in the claim that the league was frozen: "If the competitions were frozen, why was the three-way tournament held? If the league was frozen, why did they put a playoff table for the teams at the bottom of the table? The feeling of injustice that has developed in the fans of Esteghlal over the past years is not accidental. There have been long-term issues, and one of them is this year's events."

The chairman of Esteghlal's board of directors added: "Then they ask why Esteghlal's fans are upset and why the manager of the club demands. Esteghlal manager has the right to demand. When we talk and make a promise, it must be followed. Some people think that we were simple when we said that we are going to be announced as heroes. Well, we tried for three months, but every time we saw that the announcement of the championship was delayed for some reason.

Criticizing the long decision-making process, Tajernia said: "The announcement of the championship also has taste and appeal for a while. When is this going to be done? Now the situation is completely justified. In its current state, Esteghlal has kept the flag of Iranian football high in Asia. We won a match against the strong Al Sadd team 3-0 and we also defeated the host team in Qatar. What else should independence do to show its merit? I want fair football people to answer this question. I don't expect Esteghlalites to defend the championship of Esteghlal. By the way, other teams should support this demand, because there are clear reasons for it.

Acting CEO of Esteghlal said about his latest follow-up: "In the last meeting I had in the presence of the Minister of Sports with one of the officials of the federation, it was promised that this issue would be investigated." At least we have the right to have our request considered. They should state very clearly what the arguments for independence were and if they do not accept it for any reason, say that they did not accept it. Our request must be presented in the board. "I have no doubt that if our reasons are heard and the issue is discussed in an atmosphere without fuss, controversy and incitement of other teams, the general conscience of the board will vote for Esteghlal's championship."
