As 9-1-1: Nashville returns for its second season, executive producer Chad Lowe is grieving the death of his daughter Fiona.

Thursday's season 2 premiere of ABC's "Going Rogue" ended with a title card in Fiona's honor that showed a picture of her after she died at the age of 13 last month. A card preceding the credits read: "In loving memory, Fiona Lowe."

Chad and his wife, Kim Painter, announced last month that their "lovely young daughter" had died and the cause of death was ruled a suicide.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the parents said in a statement. They added: "He was adored by his sisters and deeply loved by his parents. In fact, he was the light of our lives." Watch on Deadline

Chad, who appeared alongside his real-life brother Rob Lowe in 9-1-1: Lone Star , serves as an executive producer on the Nashville spinoff in addition to directing several episodes, including the season two premiere.

New episodes of 9-1-1: Nashville air Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC, available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
