Following the release of Shrek 2 Remastered images and information, a teaser for the title has now been released, which, in an interesting move, directly mimics the style and tone of GTA 6's advertising.

Based on the information included in this teaser, fans can expect more details about the return of this lovable green giant on October 20, 2026 (28 Mehr 1405).

In this creative teaser, by cleverly imitating the atmosphere and way of introducing GTA 6, the production team has tried to depict the return of this classic and popular work with a different and humorous approach. However, at the moment, it is still unclear what exactly the remastered version will undergo in terms of graphics and gameplay mechanics, and finally, on which platforms it will be released.

The release of this teaser takes place in a situation where the rumor market about the return of Shrek 2 was very hot during the past few days. The first clues about the development of the remastered version of this game were obtained in September after the list of achievements related to unannounced titles was leaked on SteamDB. The presence of the name Shrek 2 Remastered among these leaked information was the starting point of speculations about the revival of this nostalgic title.

Shortly after this revelation, Shrek's brief appearance in a promotional video for @Xbox's stand-alone ID event caught the attention of many fans. This highly anticipated event, which is scheduled to be held in collaboration with Microsoft and IGN media on October 20, 2026 (28 Mehr 1405), will host the screening of trailers, gameplay videos and the introduction of new works. Considering the time symmetry of this event with the date promised in the teaser of the game, it is likely that the full and comprehensive unveiling of Shrek 2 Remastered will take place exactly during this ceremony.

To recall, the original version of Shrek 2 was released in 2004 and simultaneously with the world premiere of its animated film. This action and adventure work, by placing players in the role of popular characters such as Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey and Puss in Boots, and by providing various stages, a group combat system and the attractive ability of multiplayer experience, quickly became one of the most successful and well-known video adaptations of cinematic animations at that time.
