Former NFL guys are starting to understand why Justin Herbert is having a terrible season
Rationalize it. Herbert's QB rating has never dropped below 93.2 since entering the NFL. His completion percentage has never been below 65 percent. Through five weeks of the 2026 season, the Chargers QB completion percentage is under 60% and his QB rating is an impressive 70.2.
We are talking about absolutely staggering statistics.
Madison Beer is accused of ruining Justin Herbert's career, fighting SAD EAGLE fans and Yankee fans.
But, now, it's all making sense to people like Ochocinco, who had no idea what was waiting for Herbert when he got home — his fiancee, Madison Beer. Here it happened that Ocho glanced at Bear to see what was going on.
"Let me see what it looks like... Oh SH*T! I don't put a lot of cream in my coffee, but I get it.
Guys, I've said this over and over since those boot camp videos came out. I even went out and got a body language expert to tell me what was going on between Herbert and Bear. The body language expert swore the camp hangouts were positive.
I was of the opinion that Herbert's brain was already messed up. Looks like I've been proven right. Maybe I'm the expert here. I have 20 years of internet experience to tell me that QB is not focused. Through five weeks, this is the advantage of the old boy of the Internet.

Is that an unnaturally high bill to save a boater from a Lake Erie sandbar?
This article was narrated in the text group this morning. One of the guys we go on golf trips with found himself on a dinner cruise with his wife the other night. After a seafood dinner, he decided to take a shortcut home by taking a different route around an island between Toledo and Monroe, MI.
Yes, he hit a sandbar. Yes, he has a big boat. Three hours later, he received the bill: $10,800.
Let's talk about the integrity of golf and how America needs to do better on the course
- Michael C has some stories to share: I wish it were true that golf's integrity problem started last decade. Unfortunately, it has continued for a long time, perhaps because there are more long-legged blondes in training courses today, more attention has been drawn to it.
My experience in pro tournaments is that many amateurs don't like to admit how big their real handicap is when playing against a pro. I always started out making sure the pros knew I was 18 years old and that golf was my hobby, not my job. The best story I have is that one year I was playing in the Sony Pro Am and I got paired with Brett Wetrich and some guys I didn't know.
They claimed that 4 and 6 were disabled. They were clearly lying because they didn't have the mechanics and their shots were all but straight. At the halfway mark, we were about 200 yards from the green with a slight incline. Burt took out a 6 iron and put it in the middle of the green near the flag.
The two asked Brett's caddy what wood he hit, and he told them it was a 6-iron. They started to pull out the 6 irons and Kadway rushed over and told them to put the irons back in the bag and use their clubs. They did not approach the green one. I hit a 3 iron to the edge of the green. I enjoyed that hole just because of the reaction from the caddy. Honesty did not give them defects 4 and 6.
Also, keep in mind that pro-ams are usually best ball tournaments. Their balls probably didn't matter and were for YouTube clicks.
- Darren chimed in: Hey Joe. My strange impression is that I often did not keep score. I told people I'm not bad for it because of collegiate matches/practices, playing with my dad or betting, of course I did. I kept it to myself mentally, but no, Jay, I just scored one. Often we played crowded monies and so on. Your tee ball is 6 inches ob, I'm not going back for a distance penalty.
I would drop 6 inches inside and mentally give myself a 2 stroke penalty. When I got better, I spent a lot of time trying to teach myself to swing my irons left/right for approaches. Honey, that fade was only 30 yards offline.
For games, no. If everyone is at 18 then the game speed shouldn't bother everyone. An example is why I think it's important. I was playing at a CC course in Fayetteville, NC during a college tournament. The greens were very fast and rolling. On a dogleg par 5, a lake all the way down the left, I hit a long 2-iron to 12". Over the hole. Well, the second shot was from 20+ feet. He missed that one too. Oh, I kind of think finishing is important. Well, that's just me.
Emails that send photos that I can embed on Twitter much more easily
- Keith spotted this one in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida:
- It's always great to hear from Guy J, who wants to drown before Lake Erie starts draining:
- Jeff Bay in Indiana on the decline of Hooters: You bring up the struggles of Hooters in Screencaps (the best daily column in the history of daily columns!) and I might have an idea why...
During a road trip to Colorado last week, I stopped at a Hooters to grab some wings and beer for lunch. The place was slow, just me and 3 other customers sitting. My wings were super greasy (you can see in the picture the bottom was nothing but grease/oil) and the fries were lukewarm at best.
This amount of grease soaked all but the first two wings and was not as good as Hooters wings 10 years ago. I ate them because I was hungry, but I had to send them back and ask the chef to thaw the wings better. Also, not sure what they've done, but their hot sauce has changed too.

When the quality of the food drops so much, it's understandable that people are discouraged from going there, even if the "views" are easy on the eyes.
And that's for a mid-October morning, one day after a record high. Everything is cooling down. Winds in the 20s are possible this weekend, they say. Ms. Screencaps told me earlier that she was finding her cozy sweater/long sleeve shirt rotation. I'm told there are midweight jacket levels. A mid-weight fall shirt, he says.
I had no idea. This is where we are with the times. Fall is officially here
