KATSEYE gives fans another look behind the curtain.

The six-member girl group, which has spent the past two years turning viral hits into a full-fledged pop phenomenon, is the subject of a new documentary, "Katseye: Wild Hearts," premiering Friday, Oct. 16 on Disney Plus and Hulu.

The 80-minute film picks up where the 2024 Netflix documentary series "Popstar Academy: Cutie" left off. While that show chronicled the grueling training and competition that brought the group together, "Wild Hearts" focuses on what happens after the cameras stop rolling — and the real work of becoming pop stars begins. Featuring never-before-seen footage, intimate interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and fan-submitted videos, the documentary follows members Sofia Laforza, Menon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skindale, and Yunchai Jung as they navigate their storied careers. Rehearsals, recording sessions and the pressures of life in the spotlight all play into the film, as does the band's relationship with its devoted fans, known as Eyekons.

Manon Bannerman's hiatus is one of the topics covered in the film. Sofia Laforza is also currently taking a separate game break from group activities, with a return expected in January 2027.

Directed by Nadia Hallgren, who also worked on Popstar Academy, the documentary comes at a busy time for Hybe x Geffen. Their third EP, "Wild," debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and they're currently on the road for their Wildworld World Tour. The film had already received a limited release in August.

Formed through the survival competition 'Debut: Dream Academy', the group successfully brought K-pop's strict educational model into the Western pop market, gaining a global following with songs including 'Touch', 'Gnarly' and 'Gabriela'.

The new film comes from Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures in partnership with HYBE x Geffen, and serves as both a snapshot of the band's growing success and a tribute to the fans who helped support them.
