Bubba Wallace Involved in Violent Wreck, Nearest Finish in 20 Years at Charlotte; Hooters Makes Hateful Contact

Chase Briscoe finished ahead of Christopher Bell for the second-closest finish in Charlotte NASCAR history, cutting Kyle Larson's points lead.

The star NASCAR driver says the struggle on the track is what helped build the sport

In a recent interview with OutKick, Ross Chastain tells OutKick that the fight between Ryan Blaney and Carson Hosvar is "NASCAR 101."

Boy, did NASCAR need that, didn't it? It's been a tough few months in terms of actual racing. It just seems like we've been in a bind and going from summer to fall doesn't help.

NASCAR owns Sundays during the summer. There is no real competition in terms of television networks. But once Labor Day rolls around and football takes over, it's hard to stay relevant.

NASCAR STAR RIPS SPORT For slow and smooth, another one makes a shocking comeback and the scorned mate bites back.

Some weeks, they get lucky and after a match there is a big fight. Other weeks, an entire team attacks a driver with a hot dog stand and knocks him out.

And then there are some Sundays where we actually get a good finish on the track. Yesterday was in Charlotte. Well done, Chase Briscoe.

what else I also had Bubba Wallace and Alex Bowman get into a violent wreck during the actual race, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Michael McDowell got into one afterward, the Hooters got an abominable decision at Daytona, and Kyle Busch's Friday Night Live party was quite the scene.

Braxton Bush to solve this burnout? stud you will see

Four tires, enough fuel to get through these final four races and maybe an ice pack for Dad and Alex today... Monday Morning Pit Stop - Buzzer Beater InCharlotte Edition - Live!

Here it is - the second closest finish at Charlotte in NASCAR history. Not bad for a terrible next generation car that makes it almost impossible to pass!

Chase Briscoe, who waited 19 weeks to win his first race of the season in July, has now won back-to-back races to cut Kyle Larson's championship mark to 65 with four races to go.

He did it yesterday by pulling ahead of teammate Christopher Bell at the last second, making it the closest Charlotte finish since...

Ever since Jimmie Johnson beat Bobby Labonte (!!!) in the 2005 Coca-Cola 600!

NASCAR's comeback weekend included a shocking nod to religion, Braxton Bush's emotional victory and fighting words?

Look at that match, man, we were so good then, and we just pissed everyone off. Look at those cars! Listen to those speakers.

It was the pinnacle of NASCAR, at least for me. I can't believe it's been 21 years and somehow Jimmy is still racing. Not full-time, of course, but he's already locked in for next year's Daytona 500.

Anyway, let's go back to 2026 and head down the road…

Again, NASCAR needed that finish yesterday. Racing in this Chase has been funky so far. The story line... has been so cool. Beyond the fight between husband and wife, there is no more news. By the way, eliminating the elimination match does this every three weeks. But not all of you are ready for that conversation yet.

But yesterday was a solid comeback for the series. Charlotte Dadma got a good, decent match, and an ending that was worth the wait.

An unapologetic, unforgivable Craig-carton show. Download his daily podcast now!

Dad and Bowman need some Tylenol after this hit

For those who don't know, Kyle Larson finished sixth to maintain a fairly decent lead (49) over Denny Hamlin with four races to go.

And also for those who don't know how dominant Larson has been in these playoffs... 6th place finish yesterday was his worst finish in the Chase. it is true

His finishes, starting with Darlington on Labor Day Sunday: 5,1,2,1,2,6.

By the way, we have four races left in this 2026 season, and they are four of the better tracks on the schedule.

I think we are on the verge of a grand finale. I can feel it in my pipes. Stay with us.

Speaking of feeling things in your body, let's go ahead and check out Alex Bowman and Bubba Wallace after yesterday's surprisingly violent incident:

No cool tracks and happy (sad), Daytona Hooters!

master When you've been doing this as long as I have, you become numb to these hits, but that crash caught even me by surprise. I didn't see it coming and neither did dad.

Bowman, for what it was worth, took full charge of the ship...in the only way he could.

"I overcorrected and only did one thing," he said.

Fair enough, Alex! Thanks for having it.

Well, let's put the pedal to the floor and hit some on our way to Phoenix. first? Let's go from a violent during the race to a less violent, but funnier wreck after the race!

amazing No clue of a deal with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. or Michael McDowell, but what a coincidence of two drivers having a beef with each other.

I do agree with the broadcasters on one thing, though...Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is probably one of the drivers I steer clear of in that garage. He's kind of crazy. He has crazy eyes. Remember the Kyle Busch fight a few years ago?

next? Speaking of Kyle Busch, NASCAR held its official celebration of life Friday night in Charlotte, complete with Braxton Busch riding in Kyle's Show No. 8 and giving the crowd the most electrifying burnout of all time.

Yeah, it just seems like we're just a few years away from seeing Braxton in NASCAR - on one level. For those wondering, you can start racing in the truck series at age 16. He is now 11 years old. My calculator tells me that means we should be rolling 2030.

Well, that's all I had for today. Good match, fun ending. Final four races of the season on deck.

On our way out, let's pay our respects to the greatest Hooters in America - the one directly across Daytona International Speedway.
