The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia announced that the country will strengthen the air defense of the refineries to protect them against Ukrainian attacks.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, quoted by the Russian newspaper "Vedomosti", Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that with the lifting of sanctions imposed by Washington against the supply of Moscow diesel, there is no obstacle to the export of this product to the global and American markets.
He added: Russian oil companies are ready to start exporting diesel to America and other world markets.
Pointing to the process of preparing commercial contracts and organizing transportation, this Russian official added that two to three weeks are needed to finalize the contracts and make preparations for sending cargoes, including fuel loading and ship rental.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also said that the issues related to the leasing of ships and the insurance of diesel cargoes destined for America will be resolved and the necessary mechanism will be provided to carry out these exchanges despite the remaining restrictions against some Russian companies.
Novak considered the increase in diesel exports as a positive step for the Russian economy and said: expanding the supply can help increase the activity of refineries and oil production, as well as increase the country's budget revenues.
He had previously announced that Russia has the capacity to increase its monthly diesel export to three to three and a half million tons by the end of 2026; A figure that can restore the export of this product to the pre-crisis level.
Novak also announced that Russian oil companies are cooperating with the country's Ministry of Defense to strengthen air defense systems and protect refineries against drone attacks.
In recent weeks, Russian authorities have announced increased security measures in energy facilities and reduced damage caused by attacks on some refineries. Attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure and export restrictions of this country have been factors that have affected the supply of diesel in the world markets.
