💎 Ambers are precious gems that you equip to gain bonuses and passive abilities.

💎 You can put them in the top level menu with each lantern.

💎 Every ten levels you open a new slot.

Chances are you'll find your first amber in Valor Mortis before you can actually equip it. The game has a fairly simple skill tree that focuses on passive buffs, so the ambers you equip are mostly ones that add a bit of flavor to your build.

Once you reach level 5, you can equip an amber by climbing each lantern. When you enter the top level menu, you'll notice that a slot with a + sign has opened up on the bottom layer—click on it and select the color you want to equip, and don't worry, you can switch them whenever you want. After that, every ten levels, you will unlock a new slot:

This means there are five amber slots in total. You usually get new ambers from quests and chests, and any ambers you already own will level up to provide a stronger passive bonus if you get a copy of it.
