Legend Takes the First Step: Gerard Piqué Enters the World of Coaching!

Gerard Piqué, owner of Andorran club FC Andorra and former Barcelona defender, has taken serious steps toward entering the coaching profession.

According to "Varzeh Se", 39-year-old Pique is currently participating in the UEFA B and A coaching certification course organized by the Andorra Football Federation. Although Pique is currently active in the decisions of the Andorran club as owner and is in talks with head coach Carles Manso, he does not have a formal coaching qualification and this course will help him to officially sit on the coaching bench from 2027.

This training course hosts other well-known figures from the world of football. In the classes of this course, which includes 580 hours of combined and practical training, well-known players such as Sergio Busquets, Carles Puel, Thiago Alcantara, Santi Cazorla, Javier Martinez and Yago Herrin are present. The presence of these stars, who have a record of winning the World Cup and national competitions, has attracted the attention of the media.

According to the planning of the Andorran Football Federation, this period includes four in-person sections that will last until June 2027. This training program will be held at a cost of 4,000 euros and limited to 20 participants. The conditions for participation in this course require at least seven seasons of experience in the highest level of UEFA or FIFA member leagues, which allows great players to go through the initial stages of coaching training.

With the end of these periods, Pique and other stars in the class will have the opportunity to start their activities as head coaches in various club competitions, and their presence on the bench of the teams will soon become a reality.
