Wrestling promotion that will bring the sport to New Jersey for the first time in more than a decade

Titan Championship Wrestling returns independent wrestling to Spotswood, New Jersey, with Joey Janela and JTG appearing at the Resurrection event Saturday.

The promoter is bringing pro wrestling back to New Jersey City for the first time in over a decade

Titan wrestling champion Charles DeLotre talks to OutKick about bringing the sport back to New Jersey City.

Independent pro wrestling is one of the last true sports where sports enthusiasts can attend an event, meet future superstars, see a great show and leave with their jerseys on their backs. Tickets to the shows are usually cheap, advertising – for the most part – try to keep the entertainment family friendly and you might just leave with a smile.

Titan Championship Wrestling, a New Jersey-based wrestling promotion, has practiced this formula for several years. On Saturday, the company brought the sport back to Spotswood, New Jersey — a town in the central part of the state that hasn't seen wrestling in nearly 11 years. It hosts Resurrection and features some of the biggest names on the scene.

"It's a great experience for the people of Spotswood or any kind of professional wrestling fan in the area," Titan Championship Wrestling co-promoter Charles DeLotre said in a recent interview with OutKick Dropkick. Wrestling hasn't been in the area for almost 11 years, and we're excited to not only bring you an incredible event, but also a part of what we do here at Titan Championship Wrestling.

"We bring in every type of entertainment from the comedy style, the strong style, and the fun style where it's a well-rounded family experience for everyone involved."

Former WWE Superstar Jay Tha Gawd (formerly known as JTG), Joey Janella, and Michael Fine are just some of the names slated to appear at the event.

Di Lutri said he has known Janella for a long time and has worked closely with her at various stages of the business. Jay Tha Gawd has also made a name for himself on the independent scene, appearing at several events in the area recently.

Fine is the TCW Heavyweight Champion who DeLotre thinks is someone to watch out for in the scene.

"Michael Finn has to be one of the greatest people in the world," he said. Michael Fine has been playing with us since almost day one of Titan Championship Wrestling. And what he's done in that regard, he's taken the title, it's become a faction called TBA, which was him and his tour of the organization, which is now called King of the Titans, and he's using that name well."

Resurrection of Titan Championship will be held on October 17, 2026. (Provided to OutKick)

The bell rings at 19:00. ET at Spotswood Columbia Club.
