Marashi's warning about the danger of extremists/ from insulting Rouhani and Zarif to assassinating Abbas Akhundi; The government needs to deal decisively with arbitrary actions
Marashi wrote in a note: What does it mean that some people gathered in front of Mr. Hassan Rouhani's house and shouted obscenities, another group went to Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif's office and insulted him, and some people threatened Mr. Akhundi with assassination?
According to Ambassador Arjan Seyed Hossein Marashi, Secretary General of Iran Construction Agents Party, wrote in a note in the construction newspaper:
One of the most important responsibilities of the president, the Supreme National Security Council, the National Security Council and the government in general is to protect the country's security and prevent the spread of extremism. We are all aware of the differences between the views, positions, policies, approaches and actions of the president and extremist groups, and there is no doubt in this regard. On the other hand, we understand that the government is responsible for running the country under difficult conditions. However, I would like to draw their attention to an issue more important than the economic management of the country, and that is maintaining the country's security, while expressing my gratitude and appreciation to Mr.
In this country, in dealing with various issues, including the current issue of how to end the war, there are differences of opinion among experts, former managers and even within the armed forces. However, we all agree on the principle that what should happen in the end should be in line with securing the interests of the Iranian nation; In such a way that the Islamic Republic is not harmed and the system remains intact, so that the basic problems of the people and the country can be solved under its shadow.
Therefore, there is an agreement on the principle of preserving national interests and the necessity of protecting the country; But there are differences of opinion about the tactics, methods and solutions that should lead us to solve the current problems, including ending the war and creating a turning point to solve people's problems. The existence of these differences is also natural. The basic issue is that if every person is supposed to express his point of view, either in the form of articles and notes or through interviews, television programs or video content, and as soon as his opinion is not in accordance with the wishes of some, some people will take up arms and resort to threats, violence or even terror, the country will face serious dangers.
Terror also has two aspects: one is character assassination and the other is physical assassination which may happen God forbid. What happened to Dr. Abbas Akhundi in the National Library and during the meeting of the Baran Foundation is a very serious and important warning that should be taken into account by the authorities. I want to make the president, the honorable minister of the country, Mr. Rezaei, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the honorable commanders of Naja and Faraja aware of the importance of this warning. Honorable Mr. Medzikian, you should definitely note that the government, the Ministry of Interior and the police force should not allow the smallest incident that disturbs the security of the country to take place. This is one of the areas in which the government should act decisively.
This task is more important than all the tasks that the government is currently responsible for, because such events can seriously help to fulfill the wishes of Netanyahu and Trump to create a gap in the ranks of the Iranian nation and provide the ground for arbitrary and blind moves that may face the country with a security crisis. Therefore, before the country, God forbid, enters an inappropriate and dangerous stage, it is necessary for the president to issue the necessary orders, the appropriate instructions and directives should be issued and the responsible commanders should deal with these actions decisively.
What does it mean that some people gathered in front of Mr. Hassan Rouhani's house and shouted obscenities, another group went to Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif's office and insulted him, and some people threatened Mr. Akhundi with assassination? These are dangerous signs that should not be ignored. We have differences of opinion, and these differences of opinion should be finally resolved through legal channels and through decision-making by the Supreme National Security Council and Supreme Leader. No person or group has the right to influence the security of the country by their personal views and perceptions, whether right or wrong. The president should also note that maintaining the country's security is at the top of all the serious responsibilities of the government.
In this context, it is necessary to mention the night gatherings and violent behavior during which slogans and statements are raised against Mr. Khatami, Rouhani, Zarif and other reformists and political figures. Such behaviors cannot be seen as mere expressions of political opposition, because these insults and destruction and threats to individuals are part of the same process of character assassination that can become the basis for more dangerous actions.
Mr. President himself criticized and asked why this group is silent and does not express their positions in a meeting with some friends who are supporters of the agreement and supporters of the Islamabad agreement. When the President expects this, the government and the Ministry of Interior should not allow any question or statement contrary to the collective wishes of our compassionate but little-attentioned friends on the stability front to become an excuse to threaten and intimidate people. Political disagreement by itself is neither a crime nor a reason to assassinate or threaten people to get out of the pool, as was said about Mr. Rouhani. Being in front of the office of political figures, obscenity and actions such as setting fire to their office are not behaviors that can be silenced or justified in the framework of usual political disagreements.
All of these events are serious warnings that it seems that the honorable Minister of the Interior and Faraja officials are not as aware of the dangerous dimensions of these threats and their possible consequences for the country's security as they should be. From this point of view, it is expected that the honorable minister and Faraja commanders, understanding the importance and dimensions of this issue, will take seriously the danger caused by such threats and put effective and deterrent measures on the agenda to prevent the recurrence of these incidents.
