Kallas Reports Riyadh's Request to Escort Ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait

The EU's foreign policy chief, while calling on the United States to align with the bloc's sanctions policy against Russia, said in part of her remarks that Riyadh has asked the EU to strengthen its naval mission, ASPIDES, in the Red Sea and help escort ships through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
