Anoushirvan Mohsenibandapi, Deputy Tourism Minister of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, visited the second Shiraz Expo International Exhibition on Wednesday, October 22, during his trip to Fars province, and participated in a meeting with the staff of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, in a meeting focusing on the issues and capacities of Fars tourism.

According to Aria's heritage report, Anoushirvan Mohsenibandapi's visit to the second Shiraz Expo international exhibition took place in a situation where this event has provided a platform for introducing the production, service and investment capabilities of Fars province by bringing together domestic and foreign companies and economic activists. A field where tourism, as one of the areas prone to economic development and international interactions, can benefit from its opportunities.

Shiraz Expo 2026, with the presence of more than 200 domestic companies and 343 foreign guests, has started on October 19 at the permanent site of Fars International Exhibitions. The purpose of this event is to introduce economic and export capacities, develop business interactions, and create grounds for attracting investment.

In this framework, taking advantage of the capacity of specialized and international exhibitions to introduce historical and cultural attractions, health tourism capabilities, rural and nomadic tourism capacities, and investment opportunities in tourism infrastructure, can provide a more effective link between Fars tourism capabilities and domestic and foreign target markets.

Fars province, with its valuable civilizational and cultural heritage, historical and natural attractions, health and food tourism capacities and Shiraz's privileged position in literary tourism, has various capabilities for developing tourism products and increasing the share of this industry in the province's economy.

Investigating the tourism capacities of the province in a meeting with the staff of the General Administration

Another part of the country's tourism vice president's trip to Fars province was to hold a meeting with the staff of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province. A meeting that provides an opportunity to review executive issues, recognize existing capacities, and strengthen coordination between the national administration and the executive group of the province in the path of tourism development.

Paying attention to local capacities, identifying obstacles to the development of tourism activities, supporting the participation of the private sector and transforming cultural, historical and natural capabilities into competitive tourism products are among the axes that can be taken into consideration in advancing the tourism development programs of the province.

The presence of the country's tourism deputy in these two programs, from the perspective of tourism policy, emphasizes the importance of the link between executive planning at the provincial level and economic opportunities resulting from national and international events; A link that, if the coordination of responsible institutions and the effective participation of private sector activists continue, can lead to the strengthening of infrastructure, the development of tourism markets, and the increase of the share of this industry in the regional economy.
