Barcola Is Worth No More Than 70 Million/ Everyone in France Knows Liverpool Was Fooled!

Emmanuel Petit criticized Bradley Barcola's performance and Liverpool's astronomical £120 million fee to sign the French striker.

According to "Sports Three", 23-year-old Bradley Barcola was supposed to be the star of Liverpool's attack line and the creator of brilliant moments in this team, but a world champion from his compatriots has a much stricter view of this striker and his words are very remarkable.

"They paid a lot of money for Barcola," Emmanuel Petit, a former player of the French national team and world champion in 1998, told TalkSport. I would never have paid £120m (roughly €142m) for him. "We all know this in France."

"We all know that he is a good player and sometimes he gives great performances, but he is not consistent enough during matches," he added.

Petty's harsh judgment doesn't end there: "He did well in Paris most of the time because the whole structure of the team supported him."

For this reason, this world champion also questioned the transfer fee. Instead of the approximate figure of 142 million euros, Petty offered a maximum of 60 to 70 million euros for Barcola. According to him, the value of this French player is not even half of what Liverpool paid for him.

This transfer was a real turning point for the Reds. After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Barcola was supposed to strengthen the offensive line and become a key piece, but so far he has not managed to score a goal or provide a goal. He has not had any direct participation in scoring in his first 6 matches.

However, there is a justification for this player's not so good start; Barcola missed most of the pre-season training and therefore has had relatively little playing time. Head coach Andoni Iravela has recently openly backed his new player and reiterated his continued confidence in him.
