In a strong statement, Real demanded the immediate resignation of the president of La Liga

The Real Madrid club demanded the immediate resignation of Javier Tebas from the position of La Liga president.

In a statement, Real Madrid called for the resignation of Javier Tebas, the 56-year-old president of LaLiga, after his comments on social networks, in which he compared the communication of the Real Madrid club to the methods of Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda minister. In this statement, Real Madrid condemned the "new attack" of the president of La Liga and considers it unacceptable due to the position he is in.

In response to comments made by Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga and vice president of the Spanish Football Federation, in which he compared the methods used by Real Madrid's management to those used by Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels and identified television as a tool for this alleged strategy, Real Madrid announced the following:

1. Real Madrid considers it completely intolerable and very serious that a person holding two important positions in Spanish football would resort to discrediting our club, management and television, compared to the propaganda methods of the Nazi regime. Explaining that he is not referring to Nazi ideology does not diminish the offensive, morally repugnant, and organizationally inappropriate nature of his remarks.

2. These statements are a new part of Javier Tebas' repeated attacks against Real Madrid, its president and its media. It is unacceptable that he even uses questions, information or comments from journalists outside the club to attack us and attribute the actions of others to us, when we bear no responsibility for it.

3. It is very serious that Tebas uses these statements to question the legitimate actions of Real Madrid and Real Madrid TV in relation to the Negriera case.

Due to the severe lack of response to the Negira case by the two institutions in which Javier Tebas has important responsibilities, our club has been forced to go directly to UEFA to demand a full clarification of the payments made over the years by the Barcelona club to the deputy technical committee of referees and to take the necessary measures to guarantee the integrity of the matches.

Real Madrid also calls for a fundamental revision of the refereeing system and the structures of the governing federation, management, supervision and discipline, through a revision of the people who held important responsibilities during that period.

It is remarkable that Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga and vice-president of the Spanish Football Federation, in which the technical committee of referees is integrated, is trying to discredit Real Madrid, instead of using his organizational responsibilities to shed light on these very serious events and the revitalization needed by Spanish football.

4. Xavier Tebas' repeated behavior demonstrates a lack of impartiality, respect and impartiality inconsistent with his organizational responsibilities. His constant attacks on Real Madrid and those calling for clarity and revitalization are, in our club's view, a real problem for Spanish football.

5. For this reason, Real Madrid believes that the frequent statements and behavior of Javier Tebas will be unacceptable in any European sports body that adheres to the principles of respect, neutrality and integrity, and makes him unfit from an organizational point of view to continue holding the positions he holds.

As a result, Real Madrid demands his immediate resignation from the position of president of La Liga and vice president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Real Madrid will continue to defend its rights, its organizational credibility, the complete clarification of the Negira case and the revitalization needed by Spanish football.
