Bus Driver Arrested in Case of Missing Girl

The investigating judge of Branch 10 of the Tehran Criminal Court Prosecutor's Office reported the arrest of a bus driver in the case of a missing young woman.

The investigator of the 10th branch of the Tehran Criminal Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of a passenger driver in the case of the disappearance of a young girl.

According to Ambassador Arjan, at the end of September this year, a woman attended the 10th investigation branch of Tehran Criminal Prosecutor's Office and complained that her young daughter had disappeared. With the judicial order, the case was sent to the Tehran Intelligence Police.

Explaining the incident, the complainant said: My young daughter went out of the house to visit one of her sick friends and never came back, and her cell phone was turned off. When we went to his friend, he said that our daughter has not come to see him at all and he has no news about her. After becoming suspicious about the incident, we went to his other friends and relatives, but no one heard about him. We visited hospitals and medical examiners, which were unsuccessful.

The arrest of an Afghan man in the missing Iranian girl case

After a month of this incident, 2 days ago the officers found out that his mobile phone was turned on and was in the possession of a man. As the only suspect in the case, he was arrested in one of Tehran's neighborhoods, and when he was transferred to the Tehran Intelligence Police, during the interrogation, he first claimed that he did not know the missing girl and did not know about her fate.

When he realized that the missing girl's phone was found during the police inspection of his house, he confessed and said with a strange claim: I am a private passenger. I picked up this young girl as a passenger a month ago and took her to a house in the Ghar Gate to pick up a bag that was with her friend. He then asked me to go near Tehran railway, which I accepted. He got off and said he had no money to pay the fare. So he lent me his phone instead of 600,000 tomans for rent and said that when I bring the money, I will call to get my phone back. He left, but did not call again. When there was no news from him, I took the phone for rent and started using it when the police arrested me. I do not know about the fate of the owner of the phone and the missing girl.

Ehsan Shakibnejad, the investigator of the 10th branch of the Tehran Criminal Prosecutor's Office, confirmed this news and said that the investigation of the only suspect in the case is ongoing in the Tehran Intelligence Police.
