Seyed Javad Razavian Named Tourism Ambassador of Qom Province / Non-Qomi Registers Qomi Dialect Nationally

Seyed Javad Razavian, popular television and film actor, expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Qom Province Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in registering the Qomi dialect on the national intangible cultural heritage list, saying: “Thank God, a non-Qomi made the effort and registered the Qomi dialect nationally.”

According to the report of Aria Heritage reporter, Seyedjavad Razavian, the country's popular artist and actor, on Tuesday evening, 21 October 1405, at the Qom province tourism conference in the Qom Chamber of Commerce conference hall; Appreciating and thanking the efforts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Qom province in registering the Qom dialect in the list of intangible cultural heritage of the country, he said: Alhamdulillah, a non-Qom person worked hard and registered the Qom dialect nationally.

This TV actor, in the other part of his speech, appreciated the services of the late Professor Abbas Farsad (researcher, Qomian poet and professor of literature) in preserving and promoting the Qomian dialect and also pointing to the capacities of this dialect, he asked the people to preserve this valuable heritage and pass it on to the next generations.

Referring to the importance of preserving the Qomi dialect, Razovian added: We record many things; We have the Hyrcanian forests and we register them nationally; But do we also maintain? We have Qomi dialect which is so attractive and it is necessary to transfer this valuable heritage to our friends.

Quoting a memory of an Iranian living in Germany, he said: Two nights ago, I happened to meet a person who has been living in Germany for 10 years and he told me; His child was three years old and the program "Dar Baransi" was broadcast on TV; Instead of learning German, I learned the Qomi dialect, and my son made a condition that I would not talk to him in Qomi, so that he would not sleep. Now my child speaks Qomi better than German. We, who have such a beautiful collection that has been handed down from generation to generation, how beautiful it is to pass this on to our children.

This movie actor warned about the forgetting of the Qomi dialect: God willing, we will appreciate this dialect and it will not be like the forests that, God forbid, will be set on fire or sawed, and tomorrow we will open our eyes and see that there is no trace of it. The Qomi dialect is very delicious and one of the reasons I went for this dialect was that I felt how much capacity it has and how much it can help me in playing a role.
