80% of Malard Visit Resolutions Implemented; Public Transportation Is a Public Demand
Malard – Tehran Governor announced that 80% of the 64 resolutions from his visit to Malard County have been implemented. Stressing the removal of obstacles to the remaining resolutions, he described the development of public transportation as a legitimate demand of the people of western Tehran.
According to Mehr reporter, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian said on Tuesday evening on the sidelines of the meeting to review the approvals for the trip to Mallard city: This trip had 64 approvals in various fields, including the development of educational spaces, cultural infrastructures, and water, electricity, and gas services, and with the efforts of the executive bodies, nearly 80% of them have been implemented.
He added: "Some approvals were facing problems and obstacles, and in today's meeting, the necessary decisions were taken to solve them, so that the remaining obligations to the people can be fulfilled faster with the cooperation of the governor's deputies, the governor's office and the executive bodies."
The governor of Tehran continued: Based on the report of the managers of the institutions, we also had new approvals for the construction of necessary projects and assignment of half-finished and undecided projects in the fields of health, treatment and education. The purpose of these decisions is to improve the indicators of Mallard city and increase the benefit of the people from the public services of the government.
Pointing to the necessity of developing public transportation in the west of Tehran, Motadian said: 4 million people travel to Tehran daily with more than 1,500,000 cars from different axes. In the western axis, the daily traffic of more than 350,000 cars creates heavy traffic, which not only wastes people's time, but also increases fuel consumption and pollution.
Referring to the pursuit of public transportation development since the beginning of the 14th government, he added: During the President's visit in March 1403, the connection of 12 cities with the necessary infrastructure to the public transportation network was emphasized. The railway company related to this project has been formed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, and we hope that with the cooperation of the Tehran Municipality and the municipalities of these cities, the ground for their connection and the use of interchange stations will be provided.
The governor of Tehran also pointed to the measures taken by the municipalities in the west of the province to develop the metro and stated: Several meetings have been held to create coordination and we are trying to provide the ground for the development of public transportation infrastructure in the west of Tehran with the participation of the government and the consortium of municipalities and using capacities such as generators and Article 56.
