Nuclear arsenals are unlikely to be discussed by Putin, Trump and Xi Jinping, Kremlin says
Dmitry Peskov noted that China believes its nuclear capabilities are currently not comparable to those of Russia and the United States.
Moscow, October 14. /TASS/. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that nuclear arsenals are unlikely to be on the agenda of a trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, if held in China.
In response to the question of what is the agenda of this meeting and whether it is appropriate to discuss nuclear arsenals and energy in general, he replied: Nuclear arsenals are not a suitable topic for the plan.
The Kremlin spokesman said: "You know that our Chinese friends believe that their nuclear capabilities are not comparable to Russia and the United States at the moment, and they believe that there is no subject for dialogue. This is the position of the Chinese side, which we respect. Therefore, it is unlikely that this issue will be discussed in a trilateral format."
